Job Description:
Fresh Coat Painters of Marin is a professional painting business seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. This role involves both interior and exterior painting projects for residential and commercial clients throughout Marin County and San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting (e.g., sanding, scraping, power washing, patching)
Apply paint, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
Protect furniture, floors, and other surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape
Clean tools and work areas after completion of jobs
Mix and match paints to desired colors and finishes
Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
Communicate with clients and team members professionally
Maintain quality and efficiency on every job site
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a painter (2+ years preferred)
Familiarity with painting tools, materials, and techniques
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Good physical condition, able to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Employment Requirements in California:
Must be 18 years or older
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must comply with California OSHA safety standards
Some positions may require a background check or drug screening depending on job site/client requirements

Key Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships with homeowners, securing contracts for residential and commercial painting projects.
Prepare detailed, accurate estimates and project proposals using our proprietary software in a timely fashion (Estimates sent to owner same day)
Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle by being the primary contact for Clients, General Contractors, Realtors —from planning and trade coordination to project kickoffs, to quality assurance throughout the project, and final walkthroughs.
Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope.
Ensure safety compliance, exceptional workmanship, and adherence to company standards.
