JOB SUMMARY: The Land Search Specialist is responsible for the maintenance of the land database and will research, source and track new land opportunities for the Division. The Land Search Specialist will also perform initial outreach to landowners on target opportunities as needed. The Land Search Function will assist the Land Acquisition team with the analysis of new opportunities and the creation of a Land Search Strategy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Identify new land purchase opportunities using GIS (Geospatial Information Systems), which is an aerial mapping software, and other online databases. Integrate the mapping information into KB's customized database to track new land opportunities. Research publicly available information, for new acquisition opportunities, including, but not limited to, general plans and planning commission and city council agendas. Perform outreach to landowners on target opportunities and provide warm leads for senior land acquisition staff to carryout transactions.Track competitor locations, product offerings, price points, and acquisition costs. Provide market information for the creation of the strategic marketing plan, business plan and business plan updates.Facilitate various administrative land processes, including escrow coordination and letters to title.
