    Purpose

    To maintain a good relationship with residents, patients, employees and other persons to whom contact is made.

    Essential Functions

    Job Functions

    Smiles and extends a warm and friendly welcome to everyone entering the Community. If the individual has to wait in lobby, offers them something to drink and/or eat. Answers every incoming telephone call as directed by management. Receives all incoming telephone calls and directs them to the proper department personnel Receives inquiries made by visitors, residents, family members and employees and directs them to proper personnel for information. Maintains current list of residents and maintain Resident Registry. Receives request for maintenance work, completes work orders and gives to maintenance. Maintains daily check on all residents. Maintains a resident absentee register. Has outside contractors, deliverymen, service men and visitors sign in and out in a daily journal. Makes copies on copy machines for residents and staff as appropriated. Sends all fax copies for residents and staff as appropriate. Keeps record of all cash received at front desk. This includes moneys received from employee meals, postage copies etc, to be submitted to bookkeeping on a monthly basis. Any other tasks, assignments, projects or requests as deemed by management. Appropriately addresses every individual leaving the Community as directed by management.

    Purpose

    To prepare food in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, the community’s established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Dining Service Director, to ensure that quality food service is provided at all times.

    Essential Functions

    Job Functions

    Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus and established portion control procedures. Assist in ensuring proper storage of raw and leftover foods. Assist and direct the daily or scheduled cleaning duties. Perform all daily tasks in accordance with established Standard Precautions and sanitary, safety and infection control policies and procedures. Ensure that the department and all food storage and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner and that necessary equipment and supplies are properly maintained and arranged. Maintained habits of good personal hygiene. Promptly reports all hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents and incidents to the Food Service Director and/or Executive Director. Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies and procedures, wearing protective clothing and equipment when handling infections waste and/or blood and body fluids. Ensure that menus are maintained and filed in accordance with established procedures; and, complete necessary forms and reports to submit to Dining Service Director Review menus prior to preparation of food and inspect all trays to ensure completeness and accuracy of menu and diet preference. Any other tasks, assignments, projects or requests as deemed by management. Attend and participate in orientation, training and in-service educational activities Develop and maintain a good working rapport with personnel to ensure that food service is properly maintained Assist in inventorying and storing incoming foods, supplies and equipment and recommend to the Dining Service Director the equipment and supply needs of the department.

    Purpose

    To provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed and instructed in accordance with established federal, state and local dietary regulations, policies and procedures.

    Essential Functions

    Job Functions

    Assist in the preparation, service and delivery of meals and snacks. Know and use portion control procedures when preparing and serving meals. Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties including work areas, tables, appliances and floors. Assist in dish and utensil washing and cleaning including gathering soiled items from carts, trays and dining areas and placing clean items in proper storage areas. Assist in distributing and collecting menus and checking all trays for completeness and accuracy of menu and diet preferences before distribution to residents. Perform all daily tasks in accordance with established Standards Precautions and sanitary, safety and infection control policies and procedures. Maintain resident’s confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect. Know and comply with Residents’ Rights rules. Review and promptly report to Food Service Director all resident complaints and grievances. Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies and procedures. Wear protective clothing and equipment when handling infectious waste and/or blood and body fluids. Any other tasks, assignments, projects or requests as deemed by management.
