Essential Responsibilities:
Assist with provider line; prepare examining room and equipment. Properly document nursing care. Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records; observe applicable HIPAA rules. Under the direction of a provider, examine and assess clients with illnesses or injuries or clients who become ill or injured; confer with physician to refer clients to the emergency room as required by their condition and document in medical record or other forms as appropriate. Observe and record client behavior, assess and triage with appropriate documentation. Under direction of the RN and in accordance with approved standing orders, assess condition of and make recommendations for treatment of clients reporting to sick call to RN or advanced practice provider on duty. Perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies and disasters to include administering basic emergency medical aid, physically removing people away from dangerous situations, and securing and evacuating people from confined areas. Operate pill call, dispense medication and document as required by applicable policies and procedures. To include push and or wheel pill cart on facility campus. Control medication, syringes and other medical supplies or equipment as required. Comply with all applicable pharmacy laws, especially those covering controlled substances. Provide health counseling and health education on an individual or group basis, as required. Review and process all reports and documents in a timely manner. Attend scheduled staff meetings; promote communications and proper flow of relevant information in the medical unit. Requires long periods of standing and walking. Regular predictable attendance is required. Closely monitor all potential catastrophic illnesses. Conduct chart review, review status of clients with serious health problems for completion of all necessary intervention and treatment. Provide oversite and direction to LVNs, and medication technicians.Education and experience requirements:
Degree in nursing, current valid nursing license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or compact state. One-year experience is preferred. Must possess current CPR certification. Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management. Must attain and maintain appropriate facility security clearance. Upon hire must successfully complete required pre-service and annual training requirements. Must maintain TCCO security clearance.

Position Summary: Reports to the corporate director, medical operations. Serves as designated health authority for the facility. Administratively supervises advanced practice provider and physician. Provides direct administrative and clinical supervision of medical records technician, medication technician, and registered nurses. Responsible for the management of medical and pharmaceutical services in compliance with MTC Medical and Texas Civil Commitment Office {TCCO) directives.
Essential Functions:
Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and health services activities of the department. Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance and implement department and personnel changes as approved by the corporate director of medical operations and coordinated with the human resources manager prior to implementation. Ensure nursing staff are properly educated and supervised to perform job functions. Maintains oversight of all medication delivery, documentation and accountability Ensure compliance with all accrediting/audit activities. Notify corporate office of non-compliance and develop plans of corrections as Indicated. Conduct audit activity to verify programmatic compliance and report findings as requested. Assist with development of departmental budget; monitor and control expenditures; review and recommend changes to budget authorizations. Manage and coordinate health services activity within budgetary guidelines. Ensure implementation of new and revised policies and procedures affecting health services; coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with overall facility objectives. Manage and conduct coordinated health care and other health related programs for clients. Act as liaison between the facility and mental health consultants and coordinate the mental health program. Conducts departmental staff meetings. May perform nursing care based on staffing needs. Manage the record keeping and reports on injuries, diseases and disabilities of clients. Manage in-service training in health-related areas for other departments. Coordinate and review, for corporate office approval, payment to outside vendors, subcontracted staff and services ensuring that expenditures are within contractual and budgetary limitations. Coordinate with facility administrator concerning health services. Ensure that health services department is in compliance with all applicable OSHA guidelines and regulations. Ensure compliance with QI program for facility and participate in QI programs/activities. Investigate quality of care concerns.It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her scope of duties as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Current, valid registered nursing (RN) license as approved by the Texas State Board of Nursing or ability to transfer license to Texas. Must possess either : Bachelor's degree from an approved accredited University and at least four years of nursing experience, of which two of those years are in a supervisory capacity; -- OR-- Graduation from an approved accredited nursing program and at least six years of nursing experience of which two of those years are in a supervisory capacity. Current CPR certification is required. Valid driver's license in the State of Texas with an acceptable driving record also required, unless waived by management.

Essential Functions:
1. Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and programmatic activities of the departments.
2. Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance and implement organization and personnel changes as approved by the warden and coordinated with the human resources manager prior to implementation.
3. Create systems to effectively manage staff and ensure effectiveness of program.
4. Develop departmental budgets; monitor and control expenditures. Review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
5. Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting education to include compliance with all student assessment and testing regulations.
6. Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with overall facility objectives.
7. Oversee the process of establishing and following Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP) for offenders.
8. Direct the preparation of reports required by specific requests, rules, regulations, policies and
procedures. This includes maintenance of student records to include attendance and participation.
9. Conduct reviews/audits of all assigned functions on a regular basis to ensure contractual compliance high quality rehabilitative and delivery of quality and educational programming.
10. Supervise the development and implementation of programs.
11. Ensure effective administration, adherence to curricula requirements and effective team approach between academic and vocational training components.
12. Direct efforts to council offenders to obtain their General Education Diploma (GED).
13. Plan and manage work assignments and schedule of activities; monitor class loads and instructor assignments to meet offender educational needs.
14. Monitor the maintenance and cleaning of programs building and equipment.
15. Ensure all classrooms and shops have appropriate instructional materials, supplies and equipment.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and valid teaching certification appropriate for adult basic education or GED issued by the Mississippi Department of Education in elementary or secondary education required. Two (2) years related experience preferred. Valid driver’s license in the state of Mississippi with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.

Conduct diagnosis and evaluation tests for offenders to determine needs, establish goals and develop plans; make referrals to contract professionals for assessment and treatment of offenders. Prepare progress reports; provide recommendations regarding discharge plans; make case presentations; and assist program supervisor and treatment team. Maintain and monitor confidentiality of offenders and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of offenders to determine that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.Qualifications:
Master’s degree in counseling, social work, mental health, substance abuse counseling or associated field and current license in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or licensed psychologist. Provides counseling and recovery skills training; participates in offender orientation, educational and individual and process counseling groups in compliance with program standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Maintains offender records and other records regarding services provided to include statistical feedback on evaluations; and compiles data and submits reports and related documentation as appropriate. At the conclusion of the program, an Individual Progress Summary will be developed for each offender on caseload to reflect the evaluation results together with comments about the offender’s level of participation and quality of completion in SAFPF/IPTC programs. Submit a copy of the Individual Progress Summary to the Parole Division to be included in the Parole Case Summary.Qualifications:
