    The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery of Main Line Health, a large tertiary health system located on Philadelphia's suburban Main Line, seeks a full-time Faculty Cardiac Surgeon for our established coronary revascularization program – one of the most advanced in the region. In addition, the successful surgeon will play a leadership role in our Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) and MCS programs.

    The incumbent will be primarily responsible for working with the cardiac surgical and cardiology teams to maintain and grow the cardiac surgical program with a focus on:

    Heart failure/VADAdvanced coronary revascularization techniques including on/off-pump CABGMulti-arterial graftingRobotic/MID-CABG and hybrid CABG/PCI options

    The surgeon will provide coverage of the cardiac surgery service and is expected to have experience in performing general cardiothoracic procedures and on-call duties.

    Qualified Candidates Are Required To Have:

    · Lead and respond to Codes, Rapid Responses, and Stroke Alerts

    · Perform or supervise ICU-appropriate procedures within scope of privileges

    · Communicate effectively with nursing, Pulmonary/Critical Care, and multidisciplinary teams

    · Provide bedside teaching, supervision, and mentorship to residents

    · Ensure timely, accurate documentation and billing in Epic

    Qualifications

    MD or DO from an accredited medical school

    Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine

    Prior hospitalist or ICU experience preferred (Pulmonary/Critical Care or Cardiology fellowship a plus)

    Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure

    DEA license and ACLS certification required

    Eligible for ICU privileges and medical staff appointment

    Strong interest in academic medicine and resident education

    Comfortable managing ventilated, critically ill patients and emergency responses
