    Job Description: Are you passionate about helping people and looking to further your career in the healthcare industry? If so, we’re looking for you! Our office needs a reliable Medical Assistant who can provide first-class care to our patients. You’ll be responsible for welcoming patients, giving injections and medications, taking health histories other clinical tasks. If you have great communication skills and some experience in the medical field, apply today!

    Responsibilities90 Day Probationary Period: During this time, there is an extensive training where all requirements must be met before moving forward. Must stay within your training guidelines daily up until you are out of the training period. Must pass all vaccine tests/quizzes in order to move forward. You will be held accountable to the Maeville Pediatric guidelines within the handbook. Patient Care: Collect blood samples, document vital signs, and assist with examinations.Administrative Support: Greet patients, handle calls, administrative tasks, and manage inquiries.Clinical Duties: Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and perform point-of-care tests (strep throat, COVID, flu, mono, hemoglobin, urine tests), state newborn screens (infant heel prick), injections/vaccinationTeam Collaboration: Assist healthcare staff with examinations, manage patient intake processes, and ensure clinic efficiency.Customer Service: Greet all patients and families with kindness and positive energy, ensuring a great experience.Operational Support: Travel between clinic locations, manage inventory, and handle daily messages and prescription requests.Clinic Management: Ensure daily opening and closing of the clinic, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to health and safety regulationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDExperience as a medical assistant or similar role in a healthcare settingCompletion of an accredited medical assisting program and supervised externshipCertification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)Excellent communication and customer service skillsFamiliarity with electronic health record (EHR) systemsAbility to administer medications safely under supervisionStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesWhat We Offer:

    Job Description

    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced, dependable Lead Medical Assistant to support our busy pediatric practice. This is a leadership role for a high-performing MA who can set standards, train staff, manage daily clinical flow, and keep the back office running efficiently and safely while also handling operations that pertain to the medical side of the clinic

    The Lead MA will work closely with doctors and NP team and the medical director to ensure consistent clinical workflows, accurate documentation and excellent patient experience.

    This position requires professionalism, maturity, strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to coach others in real time.

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Support (help support the MA team on the floor by ensuring they are trained and supported to do their tasks)

    Room patients and obtain accurate pediatric vital signsUpdate medications, allergies, pharmacy, and immunization statusAssist providers with procedures and clinical workflowPerform point-of-care testing and specimen collectionSupport vaccine preparation, administration, and documentation per protocolManages fax and nurse triage departmentsOversees referrals (train team )Leadership & Supervision

    Provide daily direction to Medical Assistants and externs and organize their schedules.Assign rooming coverage, vaccine support, lab support, and float coverageConduct daily huddles and communicate priorities clearlyTrain new MAs and maintain competency sign-offsProvide coaching and corrective feedback when standards are not metProgressive discipline for clinical staffMonitor patient experienceWork closely with front desk as a liaison to the back officeOperations & Compliance

    Maintain exam room readiness, stocking, and supply par levelsMonitor vaccine storage compliance and temperature logsEnsure infection control and OSHA standards are followedIdentify workflow bottlenecks and solve problems in real timeEscalate safety concerns immediately to management/provider leadershipVFC program oversight and ensure monthly counts done and data loggers compliantInventory management and manage relationship with vendorsRequired Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalentMedical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, CCMA)Minimum 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant (pediatrics preferred)Strong pediatric vital sign and vaccine workflow experienceStrong EHR skills and attention to detailCPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications

    Previous Lead MA, trainer, or supervisor experiencePediatric practice experienceStrong knowledge of immunization workflows and documentation standardsComfortable coaching and holding peers accountableWhat Success Looks Like
