This role combines surface preparation through sandblasting with industrial coating application. The ideal candidate takes pride in clean, inspection-ready work, follows safety standards without shortcuts, and delivers quality finishes with minimal rework.

    Pay: $25–$30/hr DOE
    Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (5:00am–1:30pm)

    Key Responsibilities

    Prepare surfaces using proper blasting standards (SP-1 through SP-15)Operate, maintain, and inspect blast pots, dust collectors, and related equipmentPerform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting on blasting and painting equipmentPrepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, caulking, filling, or pressure washingApply primers, paints, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray systemsMix coatings according to data sheets and job specificationsEnsure correct wet and dry film thickness (WFT/DFT) on all coating applicationsIdentify and correct coating defects to maintain quality standardsKeep blast booths, paint booths, and work areas clean, organized, and inspection-readyTrack piece counts, materials used, and time spent per job accuratelyCommunicate clearly with supervisors and team members to stay on scheduleFollow all PPE, safety, and environmental protocols and report hazards immediatelySupport continuous improvement efforts related to efficiency, safety, and quality

    Duties

    Set up and operate CNC lathes (Cincinnati, Okuma, and Haas) to machine metal parts per engineering drawings and specifications

    Load and execute CNC programs; make offset adjustments as needed to maintain part dimensions

    Change tooling and adjust tool offsets to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements

    Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements

    Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect parts and verify conformance to tolerances

    Perform preventative maintenance on CNC lathes and maintain a clean, organized work area

    Requirements
