About the Role:
We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong focus on backend systems to help modernize and evolve our payments platform. This role is ideal for engineers who are excited to take on complex backend challenges, to designing scalable event-driven systems powered by MongoDB, Kafka, React, Node, Java, Kotlin, and cloud-native architectures. Additionally, leveraging AI-powered tools and frameworks will be crucial in optimizing development processes, automating tasks, and enhancing software capabilities.
We are looking for someone who has:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.Minimum and 6-8 years of experience developing production enterprise applications using Java Enterprise patterns, integration patterns and enterprise engineering best practices.Extensive experience in working collaboratively with product, quality assurance on requirements, designs and notifying stakeholders immediately in cases of impediments.Familiarity with working in a Scrum Agile delivery environment.Strong focus on producing clear technical documentation (system designs, API contracts, operational guides).A passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement of applications.Experience with JavaScript programming and proficiency in related technologies (ReactJS, TypeScript, NodeJS, NestJS). Prior experience working with third party vendors while building a long term sustainable architecture for payment processing and facilitation.Experience in writing test driven code for back-end and front-end services.Extensive experience in SQL, performance tuning of SQL, and RDBMS technologies.Proficiency with relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).Extensive experience using Kafka, or other similar technologies.Extensive experience in event driven architecture and AWS deployment models.Proven experience in the payment domain especially in ISV, Card Acquiring, Merchant Acquiring, Risk and compliance environment.Expertise in building scalable, reliable backend services.Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and machine learning APIs.Key skills needed to be successful in the role:
Implement distributed and highly available enterprise applications that scale for enterprise demands.Work collaboratively in a cross functional team in an Agile delivery environment.Adhere to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery of solutions.Ensure high code quality by following software engineering best practices.Adhere to DevOps principles and be involved with projects throughout their full software lifecycle: from development, QA, and deployment, to post-production support.Deployment and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.Cloud infrastructure knowledge, especially with AWS ECS, EC2, and ECR.Design and develop groundbreaking products that changing the restaurant and retail space.
You may be a good fit if you have these additional skills and/or educational background:
Experience with payment processing in eCommerce, Retail, Restaurant sectors.Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).Understanding of mobile app development or mobile-responsive web design.Relevant certifications in TypeScript, APIs, AI/ML technologies, and related fields.Familiarity with DevOps practices and prior experience working with Cloud IaaS or PaaS providers will be an added advantage.Our Core Values:
