    Design Engineer (SolidWorks)

    Location: Decatur, TN
    Pay: $35.00–$40.00/hour
    Job Type: 6-Month Contract
    Work Environment: Onsite

    Position Overview

    M Force Partners is seeking an experienced Design Engineer (SolidWorks) to join an engineering team in Decatur, TN on a six-month contract. This Design Engineer (SolidWorks) will support the design, development, and continuous improvement of agricultural and construction equipment while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

    The ideal Design Engineer (SolidWorks) will have a strong mechanical design background, experience working in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to transform product concepts into manufacturable solutions using SolidWorks.

    Key Responsibilities

    Design and develop agricultural and construction equipment attachments using SolidWorksCreate detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawingsPerform engineering calculations to verify product performance, functionality, and compliance with design requirementsDevelop prototypes and support product testing to validate new designsModify existing products to improve manufacturability, quality, performance, and cost efficiencyCollaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize product designs for productionRelease engineering drawings, bills of materials, and product documentation through the ERP systemPrepare engineering documentation including assembly drawings, manufacturing instructions, engineering reports, and design documentationConfigure custom product designs using established engineering standards and design baselinesSupport engineering change requests and design revisionsIdentify opportunities to improve engineering processes and design efficiencyCollaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and project management teamsSupport additional engineering projects and product development initiatives as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    3–5 years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorksExperience designing agricultural equipment, construction equipment, or heavy equipment attachmentsStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and production environmentsAbility to create and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentationWorking knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications

    Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering disciplineExperience working with ERP systemsFamiliarity with Microsoft Project or SmartsheetHands-on experience operating agricultural or construction equipmentExperience supporting new product development from concept through production

    Additional Requirements

    Ability to work onsite in Decatur, TNAbility to work within a manufacturing environment and spend time on the production floor as neededAbility to sit for extended periods while working at a computerAbility to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes, while on the production floor

    Position Overview

    M Force Partners is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer to support the design, programming, integration, and commissioning of custom automated machinery and industrial control systems. This PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer role offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle—from PLC programming and machine integration to equipment startup, troubleshooting, and customer support.

    The ideal PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer will have 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation, machine builds, and controls systems and enjoy working hands-on with advanced automation technologies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Program, modify, troubleshoot, and commission PLC-based automation systemsDevelop and support PLC programs using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Keyence platformsSupport the integration and startup of custom automated machinery and machine buildsAssist with the integration of industrial and collaborative robotic systemsInstall, debug, test, and commission automated equipmentTroubleshoot electrical, controls, and automation issues independently and as part of a project teamDevelop and modify HMI applications and operator interfacesRead and interpret electrical schematics, control panel drawings, and technical documentationCollaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers throughout the machine build processProvide technical support during customer installations, startups, and commissioning activitiesMaintain project documentation and support project schedules and deliverablesTravel occasionally to customer sites for installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and technical support

This Engineering Technologist role will work alongside experienced engineers and designers to develop overhead and underground electrical distribution designs while supporting field assessments, engineering documentation, and project coordination.

This Electromechanical Instrument Technician role is responsible for assembling electro-mechanical systems, performing product testing, supporting engineering initiatives, and ensuring products meet quality and performance standards.
