Our vision is to be recognized by clients for responsive, innovative, and quality services in the building, transportation, and infrastructure sectors and to be the employer of choice. 2022 Alpha was awarded the ENR Mid-Atlantic 2022 Design Firm of the Year and Top 100 PM/CM Firm.If you're up for the challenge to stretch, grow, and excel in your career in Civil Engineering, consider joining our award-winning team at Alpha Corporation as a Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager support our growing team in both our Dulles and Baltimore offices.This is a hybrid role with up to three days per week required onsite in our Dulles or Baltimore locations.Responsibilities:The Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager is responsible for planning, permitting, and designing land development, utility systems, roadways, and other infrastructure components for government, institutional, commercial, and transportation clients.The Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager will perform the following:Working with the project team on all aspects of land development and site design projects: project set-up, drafting, design, quality review and assurance, and overall project coordination and organization.Preparing and modifying construction documents, reports, specifications, and other design deliverables for the project.Analyzing maps, reports, drawings, as-builts, and test results for the design projectsAssisting with post-design construction support services to respond to RFI's, submittal reviews, as-built preparation, and field observations.Establishing budgets and labor projections for design tasksWorking alongside office staff and management to successfully complete projects within the established budgets and deadlines.Preparing engineering calculations required for the design of projects and coordinating the development of construction drawings.Develop and organize the delivery of project plans and specifications.Perform quality assurance and quality reviews of design plans, specifications, and estimates.Consult with other engineers, architects, landscape architects, environmental scientists, project consultants and stakeholders.Design and permit Civil Construction Projects including the design and permitting for stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control.Coordinating and mentoring junior engineers and engineering techs.Perform Business Development activities.Qualifications:The qualifications for the Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager role include:Six or more years of progressively increasing experience in the Civil Engineering / field.Professional Engineer in Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, DC, or be able to obtain one within six months.Experience using engineering design software (MicroStation/InRoads and AutoCAD/Civil 3DKnowledge of Civil Engineering principles and techniques with reference to construction materials, methods, and procedures.Self-sufficient and flexible person with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others.
