    Purpose & Impact:

    This is an intermediary position with the responsibility of insuring quality care. The individual holding this position monitors daily activities and provides additional support to Youth. Duties also include informing the Program Manager of programmatic issues on a daily basis. Responsibilities also include supervising shelter resident's intakes and monitoring necessary paperwork for the Centralized Intake component.

    The shift for this role is 11 pm - 7 am.

    Essential Functions: Monitors daily activities of Youth. Carries a telephone/pager on a rotation. Both detect and envision potential safety and security hazards to youth in residence, subsequently making recommendations and implementing corrective actions as appropriate or required. As directed, participates in the implementation and monitoring of client case plan. Maintains the coordination of donations to the facility in conjunction with the Program Manager. Assists with day-to-day maintenance of the facility in conjunction with the Program Manager. Assists with ensuring 24-hour direct care staff coverage in conjunction with the Program Manager. Screens clients, conducts initial intakes, and administer client satisfaction surveys as directed. Coordinates and assists with youth intakes and orientation during Intake process. Maintains monthly statistical reports in coordination with the Program Manager. Supervises youth as needed. Supervises and schedules maintenance and upkeep of the program van. Performs related work as required and as directed by the Program Manager. Provide direct supervision of YCS staff and emergency house coverage as needed in emergencies. Other Functions:

    Performs other duties as assigned by the Program/Operations Director and/or the Program Manager.

    Physical Requirements:

    Must have a high level of energy. Must have full physical capabilities such as lifting, bending, cooking, cleaning, and using the telephone. Ability to transport youth in the program van and accompany youth on field trips/recreational outings.

    Education:

    At least two years of college (or) two years experience working with youth in an organized/structured setting required.

    Experience:

    Two years' experience working with youth in an organized/structured setting preferred or at the discretion of Supervisor/Manager.

    Skills:

    Must have good organization, written, and verbal skills. Dependability, discretion, and good judgement are essential. Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, and the general public.

    Purpose & Impact:

    This position has the responsibility of ensuring quality care.     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Must be able to remain physically active throughout the workday, including frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting. Ability to safely and effectively intervene in crisis situations, including physically guiding or restraining youth when necessary and appropriate, following agency policies and training. Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to move quickly and respond promptly to emergency situations. Regularly required to talk and hear; must be able to communicate effectively with youth and team members. Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers and phones, as needed for documentation and communication. Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to ensure the safety of youth in care. Must have a high level of energy. Must have full physical capabilities such as lifting, bending, cooking, cleaning, and using the telephone.     EDUCATION:

    HS Diploma or equivalent.

    Purpose & Impact:

    This is a direct service delivery position. The Youth Care Specialist supervises youth ages 10-17, provides quality care, ensures a safe and secure environment and transports and accompanies residents with outside activities. As the Youth Care Specialist, you will be that role model and encourage each resident to pursue educational growth as well as everyday life skills.

    Essential Functions:

    Provide supportive environment for youth and offer supervision for resident youth during activities. Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and offers safety, consistent care supervision, and overall support to residents. Provide daily security and up-keep of facility. Participate in the implementation and monitoring of client case plans. Logs and tracks daily youth activity. Assign and supervise chores. Prepare meals as needed.     Qualifications

    Education:

    High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

    Experience:

    Minimum of one (1) year experience working with youth and at-risk populations in an organized/structured setting preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability and flexibility to work extended hours and be flexible with scheduling. Valid state driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

    Essential Functions: Assists classroom staff in all classroom activities, field trips and outdoor activities included in lesson plans.     Purpose and Impact:

    Works as part of a teaching team in developing activities for preschool children. Assists the teacher in carrying out the goals, policies and activities designed to implement educational objectives and performance standards. Assists teacher in maintaining a comprehensive and ongoing portfolio assessment for each child, including weekly observations in each area, examples of the child's work, and a developmental assessment. Assists teacher in conducting and using home visits and parent conferences to discuss the child's individual development and progress, assist the parents in developing observational skills and solicit parent observations; Assist in conducting the daily health and environment check list.     Purpose & Impact:

    The purpose of the Mentor Coach provides on-site coaching for Head Start teachers and Teacher Assistants. Conducts classroom observations, demonstration lessons, provides feedback, discusses analysis of child outcomes data and provides coaching/mentoring for teachers to improve teacher-child interactions and child outcomes towards school readiness. Assists and/or develops and updates classroom programs and procedures for the instructional outcomes, curriculum implementation, child assessment and cultural and linguistic responsiveness. Provides technical assistance to identified teaching staff and Center Directors. Responsible for analyzing data from the CLASS observation tool and support staff professional development through staff trainings designed to improve the use of evidence-based teaching practices. Participates in the HS/EHS Quality Assurance efforts.

    Essential Functions:

    Monitors and documents provisions and progressions in the area of Early Childhood Education and School Readiness. Provides initial and ongoing training and technical assistance to identified Head Start staff regarding program philosophy, policies, procedures, curriculum and other topics as requested or assigned to ensure the uniform delivery of quality services. In collaboration with the Education Childhood Education Supervisor and field staff, assists in the developing and evaluating program goals and objectives. Monitors the implementation of a developmentally and linguistically appropriate approach to child development and education. Maintains reliability in the CLASS assessment Tool. Designs classroom assessment plans for ongoing program improvement. Designs and implements staff trainings to address continuous improvement in child readiness outcomes based on data collected from classrooms, current research and to ensure comprehensive programming. Provides input and recommendations on staff performance to Center Directors, Early Childhood Education Manager and other management staff for performance appraisal and corrective action purposes. Facilitates and coordinates meetings and trainings as assigned or in coordination with the Early Childhood Education Supervisor and ECE Supervisor/VPK. Interprets and applies written program policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Completes monthly monitoring reports for assigned sites and submits them as prescribed.     Qualifications

    Education:

    Baccalaureate degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in Early Childhood Education, a Social or Behavioral Science or Education, which included at least 18 semester hours in Early Childhood Education; and

    A Certificate of Completion of an approved 10 hour Developmentally Appropriate Practices for Pre-Schoolers or Infant/Toddlers Course; and

    A Certificate of Completion of a 30-hour Introductory Child Care Training Course or
    certificates of completion totaling 30 hours, which includes the following courses: 6 hours Child Growth and Development; 6 hours Behavioral Observation & Screening; 8 hours Health, Safety & Nutrition; 4 hours Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect; and 6 hours Child Care Facility Rules and Regulations; and

    A Certificate of Completion of an approved 10-hour Special Needs Course; and a State of Florida Child Care and Education Program Director Credential or eligible to obtain credential; and Possession of a valid Florida Driver License. Must be 21 years of age.

    Experience:

    Two years of experience in teaching pre-school or kindergarten age plus two years of supervisory experience required. Some experience in financial management and budgeting preferred. Previous Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred.
