Your Role as an Instructor
As an instructor in LKSD, you will:
- Maintain high expectations for academic success and positive behavior.
- Administer assessments to measure growth, mastery, and instructional effectiveness.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Identify and support students at risk with targeted intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and the community.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and families to create a supportive learning environment.
- Participate actively in the Cadet Command, 8th Brigade and LKSD professional development and engage with the community in school and advisory committee meetings.
What We're Looking For
- A sense of adventure and willingness to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan environment .
- A valid JROTC Instructor Certificate (or the ability to obtain one).
- Passed a CNACI background check by Cadet Command
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred and demonstrated commitment to effective education practices.
- A dedication to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning atmosphere.
