    Duties


    Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on vac trucks, including diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC components.

    Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.

    Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and assembly of parts to repair or modify equipment as needed.

    Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers to facilitate repairs or move equipment safely within the shop or job sites.

    Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed using computerized maintenance management systems.

    Assist with tire service, wheel alignments, air brake systems, and other vehicle maintenance tasks to ensure optimal safety standards.

    Use power tools and hand tools proficiently for assembly, disassembly, welding, or fabrication projects while adhering to safety protocols.

    Support customer service efforts by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding repair status and recommendations.

    Experience


    Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment operation and automotive repair in a dealership or industrial setting.

    Strong background in diesel engine repair with knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and HVAC components.

    Familiarity with schematics reading for troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues.

    Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering is highly desirable.

    Knowledge of farm machinery, industrial equipment, tire service, suspension systems, shocks & struts, brake repair, and power tools usage.

    Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly.

    Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong customer service skills to support team collaboration and client satisfaction.     Major Areas of Responsibility:

    • Operate a commercial tractor and trailer.

    • Wrap and unwrap products as necessary.

    • Capable of lifting 50 pounds, and performing standing, walking, twisting, and bending tasks.

     

    Requirements

    1. Must be available for dispatch, away from the home base, for a minimum of 5-7 days at a time, and potentially longer depending on the location.

    2. Ability to determine your location using GPS and other resources, and evaluate situations in relation to the environment.

    3. Must be self-motivated and capable of working as part of a team with minimal supervision.

    4. Consistent attendance and reliability are essential.

    $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS! $500 after 30 days of employment, $1,000 after 6 months, $1,500 after one year.
