    Diesel Fleet Mechanic

    Up to Top Industry Pay | Full-Time | Overtime Available | Modern Indoor Shop

    Lonergan’s Charter Service, Inc. is looking for an experienced Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team. We’re a family-owned company that has been serving Maryland since 1959, and we take pride in maintaining one of the area’s premier commercial bus fleets.

    If you’re a skilled diesel technician who enjoys diagnosing problems, performing quality repairs, and working in a clean, well-equipped shop, we’d like to meet you.

    Responsibilities

    Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel buses and commercial vehicles.Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections.Troubleshoot engine, electrical, air brake, suspension, steering, HVAC, and drivetrain systems.Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.Work with the maintenance team to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready.

    Qualifications

    Experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty fleet technician.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.Experience working on heavy-duty diesel vehicles.Valid driver’s license required.CDL is preferred but not required.Must provide your own industry-appropriate tools.Strong work ethic with attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Apply now. We have full time and part time positions available. Public, private charter, and team sports routes are available. Excellent pay and affordable benefits offered (Such as Health and Dental Coverage, Short and long term disability options, life insurance, and a 401K plan with a 4% match from the company). Everyone is eligible for up to $120 bonus per month if you meet the criteria. We offer 18 days paid vacation. Class B commercial drivers license with a passenger and school bus endorsement required or WE WILL TRAIN YOU to get your license for free (with a dedication of a year of service to our company).
