    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee HR operations across multiple high-volume hospitality venues. This role will be responsible for driving recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and performance management in a fast-paced, late-night environment. The ideal candidate understands the unique challenges of hospitality staffing and thrives in a dynamic, on-the-ground role.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead full-cycle recruiting for front-of-house and back-of-house roles across multiple venuesPartner with operations leadership to support staffing, scheduling strategy, and workforce planningManage employee relations, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actionsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (including Illinois wage & hour regulations)Oversee onboarding, I-9 compliance, and employee documentationSupport payroll processes, tip compliance, and timekeeping systemsDevelop and enforce HR policies and procedures tailored to hospitality operationsDrive employee retention initiatives and culture-building effortsConduct training on workplace policies, harassment prevention, and management best practicesMaintain HRIS systems and track key metrics such as turnover, hiring timelines, and labor costs

     

    Qualifications:

    5+ years of HR experience, with significant experience in hospitality, nightlife, or restaurant groupsStrong knowledge of Illinois labor laws, wage & hour compliance, and tipped employee regulationsExperience managing HR across multiple locations or high-volume operationsAbility to handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretionStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly with hourly staff and senior leadershipComfortable working in a fast-paced, late-night, and weekend-driven environment when neededExperience with payroll systems, scheduling platforms, and HRIS toolsBilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

     

    Compensation:

    Hourly rate up to $50/hour ($100K), commensurate with experienceOpportunity for additional incentives based on performance

    Position Summary

    The Front of House Hospitality Support Staff plays a vital role in creating an exceptional guest experience by assisting servers, bartenders, hosts, and management. This position ensures the dining room, bar, and guest areas remain clean, organized, fully stocked, and operating efficiently throughout each shift.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Guest Service

    Greet guests with professionalism and hospitality.Assist guests with directions and general questions.Deliver food and beverages accurately and promptly.Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently.Maintain a welcoming and clean dining environment.Respond promptly to guest requests.

    Team Support

    Support servers, bartenders, hosts, and managers during service.Refill ice, glassware, napkins, condiments, and service stations.Polish glassware, silverware, and service items.Assist with stocking throughout the shift.Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff.Help maintain smooth guest flow during peak business periods.

    Operations

    Complete opening, side work, and closing duties.Maintain cleanliness of dining rooms, bars, patios, entrances, and service stations.Remove trash and recycling as needed.Follow company sanitation and food safety standards.Report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.Assist with private events and special functions.

    Safety & Compliance

    Follow all company policies and standard operating procedures.Maintain compliance with Illinois food safety and liquor laws.Practice safe lifting and proper equipment handling.Immediately report accidents, spills, or guest incidents.Assist in maintaining a safe environment for guests and fellow employees.

    Qualifications

    Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not required.Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.Dependable, punctual, and professional.Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.Team-oriented with a willingness to assist wherever needed.

    Physical Requirements

    Stand and walk for extended periods.Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds.Bend, reach, stoop, and climb stairs as necessary.Work in a fast-paced, high-energy hospitality environment.

    Guest Experience

    Operations

    Oversee opening, shift change, and closing procedures.Ensure compliance with all company SOPs.Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the venue.Monitor POS accuracy and cash-handling procedures.Ensure all liquor, food safety, and health department regulations are followed.Coordinate with kitchen, bar, entertainment, and security teams to ensure seamless operations.

    Financial Accountability

    Drive sales while controlling labor and operating costs.Monitor daily sales performance and key performance indicators.Assist with inventory controls and loss prevention.Review voids, comps, discounts, and cash reconciliation.Ensure accurate reporting at the end of each shift.

    Safety & Compliance

    Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.Maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.Handle emergency situations professionally.Complete incident reports accurately and promptly.Work closely with venue security when necessary.

    Qualifications

    Minimum 2 years of restaurant, bar, nightclub, or hospitality management experience preferred.Strong leadership and communication skills.Excellent guest service skills.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of POS systems and Microsoft Office.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Illinois BASSET certification (or ability to obtain).Food Handler Certification (preferred).Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.

    Physical Requirements
