Job Summary
The SMT Technician II is responsible for operating and maintaining SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens, to support PCB assembly. Key duties include performing AOI inspections, troubleshooting process issues, The role also involves collaborating with the engineering and production teams to ensure quality standards and optimize efficiency, to maintain compliance with safety and industry protocols.
Typical Duties
• Operate and maintain SMT machines.
• Set up pick-and-place, printer, and reflow equipment.
• Inspect boards using AOI and visual methods.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
• Do routine maintenance on SMT machines and tools.
• Familiarize yourself with the tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment.
• Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy.
• Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem.
• Read and follow assembly drawings and instructions.

Required Skills

The Assembler Technician I is responsible for using blueprints to perform the assembly and packaging of aerospace, medical, and semi-conductor components. They will perform electrical testing on aerospace products using IR/DWV multimeter. Responsible for the total performance of their work centers, inclusive of OTD, Quality, Cost and continual improvement.
