    We are seeking a highly motivated RF Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of advanced radio frequency systems for space-based applications. In this role, you will contribute to the end-to-end lifecycle of RF payloads and subsystems, including Earth-Space Antennas (ESAs), satellite communications links, and RF front-end electronics. You will collaborate with systems engineering, digital processing, and integration/test teams to deliver high-performance RF solutions that enable secure and reliable mission success in space environments.

    What does this role look like?
    • Design, model, and analyze space RF systems including ESAs, phased array antennas, transponders, transmitters, and receivers.
    • Perform link budget analysis for Earth-to-Space, Space-to-Earth, and inter-satellite communications.
    • Support RF payload architecture trades, including power, bandwidth, gain, and coverage optimizations.
    • Develop and verify RF hardware performance using simulation tools (HFSS, ADS, CST, MATLAB) and laboratory/field test equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, anechoic chamber measurements).
    • Collaborate with antenna engineers on the design, test, and integration of reflector and phased-array antennas.
    • Define and validate requirements to ensure compliance with mission performance, environmental, and radiation constraints.
    • Document technical results and present findings at internal design reviews and with external customers.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
    • Knowledge of RF/microwave design principles, including transmission lines, waveguides, impedance matching, and antenna fundamentals.
    • Knowledge or experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzer, VNA, signal generator, power meter).
    • Familiarity with satellite communications or space RF payload development.
    Desired Skills:
    • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

    Space Protection Programs is seeking an experienced Software Engineer who can guide a team through complex mission software development lifecycle. Candidate must have the ability to take ownership of software development and software integration activities. The selected candidate will be responsible for frequent use and application of software engineering standards and techniques, including Object Oriented Design and Agile development techniques. This individual will guide software requirements development, architecture, design, implementation, and test. Candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment with frequent and direct interaction with various engineering disciplines and customers.

    Experience with C/C++, Python, and Linux OS, and Object-Oriented design is preferred. Strong ability to perform on a small highly skilled team in a dynamic environment. The preferred candidate must be able to work under limited direction and will be given considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches. Candidate will be required to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, adapt to change, and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

    In this role you will:
    • Participate in embedded software development, integration, and/or software test activities.
    • Lead in the architecture and detailed design of complex CSCs and CSCIs.
    • Be leading member of an Agile development team. Participate in Agile Release Planning, Sprint Planning, and guide agile development execution.     • Portfolio Staffing: The TPM will be a key stakeholder in program staffing. The TPM is not responsible for direct management of the staff, rather the TPM's knowledge is needed to ensure staffing decisions maximize a contributor's abilities and career trajectories. Maintaining strong staff retention is a key metric for the portfolio leadership team, including this role.
    • Capture Management: The TPM will manage the capture process for the portfolio. This task requires working with the BA capture team, attending capture meetings, developing LAIC cost volumes, supporting technical writing and ensuring all LAIC work products meet the highest standards. Most technical writing will be performed by technical experts on the team with the TPM responsible for ensuring work products are completed and integrated with the overall proposal. Similarly, the TPM will work with technical leads to develop statements of work, costing and bases of estimate. The TPM will own most of the cost side of proposal development.
    • Business Development: The TPM will support the development of new opportunities within the portfolio through internal and external business development. Initially, the TPM will concentrate on working to capture internal corporate and Business Area (BA) IRAD funds. This includes identifying opportunities and working the internal fund owners. The TPM will monitor government sites for relevant opportunities. As the TPM's knowledge of the portfolio deepens, tasking to meet with and shape external customers in the S&T or PoR domains will be assigned as appropriate.
