    Job DescriptionJob Description

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager / Purchasing Agent to oversee material procurement and warehouse operations for our plumbing and mechanical projects. This role is critical to the success of our projects and requires detailed coordination and communication with field personnel, project managers, and vendors/suppliers to ensure that materials and equipment are ordered accurately, delivered efficiently and on-time while staying aligned with project budgets.


    Key Responsibilities

    Procurement & Purchasing

    Receive and process material requests from field personnel.Place orders with pre-approved vendors in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure material is ready for on time deliveries to projects throughout the bay area.Cross-check material pricing against project estimates to ensure budget compliance.Collaborate with project managers to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate competitive pricing.Maintain strong vendor relationships to support pricing, availability, and service reliability.

    Project Coordination & Systems Management

    Utilize Vista Viewpoint software to generate purchase orders (POs).Accurately enter and track material and equipment pricing within the system.Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all purchases.

    Warehouse & Logistics Management

    Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, staging, and inventory control.Manage and schedule all deliveries to job sites using both in-house drivers and vendor logistics.Optimize delivery routes and schedules for efficiency and cost control.Oversee the company driver(s) and warehouse personnel ensuring productivity, safety, and timely execution.

    Facility & Safety OversightMaintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and yard environment at all times.Enforce safety standards and best practices for material handling, storage and deliveries.Coordinate yard layout and material organization for operational efficiency.


    Qualifications

    3+ years of experience in warehouse management, purchasing, or a related role (construction or mechanical trades preferred).Familiarity with plumbing and piping materials is strongly preferred.Experience with Vista Viewpoint or similar ERP system is strongly preferred.Strong understanding of purchasing, cost control and budget adherence in a project-based environment.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Leadership experience supervising drivers or warehouse personnel.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

    Responsibilities

    ·        This position reports to the President/CEO and Vice Presidents, and is responsible for managing the daily financial accounting and reporting of the company.

    ·        Manage all accounting including billing and collections, AR, AP, GL, job cost, union and non-union payroll and cash management.

    ·        Manage an office/accounting staff of three (3) individuals.

    ·        Preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements with supporting documentation.

    ·        Manage cash flow including customer collections, payroll, and vendor payments

    ·        Manage all tax filings including federal, state, payroll, sales, and property.

    ·        Manage quarterly company budgeting reports and meetings.

    ·        Maintain relationships with bank, CPA, insurance/bonding companies and outside audits.

    ·        Manage company 401K plan.

    ·        Manage all customer pre-qualification requirements.

    ·        Manage all company insurance policies and claims for both liability and workers comp.

    ·        Experience in Vista/Viewpoint construction accounting software along with monthly and year end Work in Process (WIP) is a must!

    Qualifications

    ·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

    ·        Min 5 years experience in the construction industry.

    ·        Accounting software knowledge of Vista/Viewpoint.

    ·        Must be a team player able to work in a close-knit fast paced office environment.
