    Responsibilities:

    The focus of the Maintenance Technician is to provide maintenance expertise to service, repair, and maintain process and utility other pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment currently in service. The Maintenance Technician is expected to understand the needs and requirements of the customer (Operations); must be able to work effectively with customers, handle customer questions with tact and understanding while displaying good customer service.

    Key Objectives/Deliverables:

    This role is expected to improve equipment uptime, line efficiency, and increase overall equipment effectiveness in a production environment by condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and assisting in engineering changes.

    Must possess a good mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment while, following departmental rules and regulations.

    Must be willing to work with safety as a primary focus and abide by applicable safety procedures and practices.

    Troubleshoot the root causes of machine problems (e.g., excessive vibration or temperature, bearing failures, abnormal noises, and poor performance).

    Perform repairs and overhaul equipment (e.g., gear boxes, pumps, blowers, fans and drives) to include disassembly, setting tolerances, aligning, resetting timing (e.g., air compressors, vacuum pumps)

    Setup equipment to design specifications (e.g., timing, leveling, alignment)

    Operate precision alignment equipment (e.g., Rotalign, lasers, etc.)

    Must have the ability to diagnose the root cause of a problem and implement the proper corrective actions to minimize downtime quickly and accurately.

    Must accurately document the actions taken to repair the equipment in the CMMS program MAXIMO.

    Willing to assist in areas outside of their primary responsibility and learn other skills, as required

    Basic Qualifications:

    High school diploma/GED

    Minimum 2 Years of Automation experience

    Additional Skills/Preferences:

    Must be able to speak, read and write English at a sufficient level to communicate technical and business information effectively.

    Must be able to effectively work in a team environment.

    Physical considerations include the ability to work with or around equipment, climb ladders and stairs and use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). He/she may be exposed to harsh weather conditions as part of the job.

    Additional Information:

    The Maintenance Technician will work in and around potentially dangerous and hazardous equipment, powders, liquids and gases. Safety is paramount for this position.

    The position is a 12Hr schedule night shift position 2-2-3 rotation 0545PM to 6AM .

This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the startup team for a greenfield manufacturing site, and the successful candidate will help to build the processes and facility to enable a successful startup into GMP manufacturing operations.

    Responsibilities:
    The Instrumentation Tech is a key role responsible for the oversight of all maintenance activities to maintain assets in compliance with cGMP and to ensure equipment is available, maintained, and repaired to the applicable standards.

    The technician will be, at a minimum, responsible for the following:

    Servicing, Troubleshooting, and maintaining instrumentation in LP1 that includes systems such as: high purity water, compressed air, steam, chilled water, glycol, city water.Engage in site calibration program.Displaying good documentation practicesInstallation and maintaining of new and used equipment.

    Pre-Startup and Startup Phase:

    Support a safety-first, quality always maintenance team.Ability to respond quickly and proactively to changing priorities within a reasonable timeframe.Cross functionally collaboration with Global Facility Delivery (GFD) to support project delivery.Follow maintenance procedures such as Tagout (LOTO), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) work plans.Review data loading into CMMS and managing workflow for data changes.Support C&Q activities, including but not limited to, initial calibrations, shakedowns, initial/operational verification, and/or equipment qualification.Use the Workday system for time entry and personal information.Fully use Performance Management (PM) To manage objectives and development that align with the organizational and corporate priorities.Perform initial calibrations of instruments.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and calibration on Process Instrumentation, Temperature, Pressure, Flow and Automatic Control ValvesTroubleshoot and diagnose Process Instrumentation Equipment problems and make appropriate repairs to minimize downtime.Perform Modifications and new installations of Process instrumentation.Ability to read P & ID drawings and schematics.Highly attention to details especially in GMP documentation.

    Post Startup:

    Support site instrumentation and system change controls, including but not limited, capital projects, site process improvements, C&Q activities, calibrations, shakedowns, initial/operational verification, and/or equipment qualification.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Process Instrumentation, Temperature, Pressure, Flow and Automatic Control ValvesEnsure ongoing continuous maintenance system improvements. Support communications between Operation shifts, Maintenance, Engineering, Automation, and site customers to keep them informed of any issues that could affect them.Identify and implement "Human Error Prevention" opportunities.Use basic GMARS functionality daily. Use of GMARS closing notes using work order codes dailyAbility to use Microsoft Office tools.

    People Management:

    Ensure the company values, standards, and polices are communicated to and modelled within the team.Ensure on-going learning and team reflection. Identify and implement changes to work practices in conjunction with appropriate team members.Support direct reports in safety practices.

The Small Molecule facility will be responsible for the manufacture of drug substance (DS) produced via organic synthesis, which includes traditional small molecule medicines at multiple scales as well as high potency antibody drug conjugates. As the Foundry is currently in design and construction (startup phase anticipated completion in 2027), the initial position will be fluid and dynamic as we endeavor to support the delivery of the Foundry, build a new organization, develop and implement the necessary systems and business processes required to support GMP operations, and build the site culture. This will require significant collaboration, creativity and resilience as the site grows to a full scale GMP manufacturing facility. Once Small Molecule start up activities are completed, the Small Molecule Process Quality function will provide on-site quality oversight of GMP operations. This role is expected to become a subject matter expert for the visual inspection equipment/process and will be directly involved with training future new hires.
