About the Role
The Chief Maintenance Engineer is to oversee full maintenance responsibilities for a portfolio of on and off-campus medical office buildings. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to, all general repairs and preventative maintenance of building systems, knowledge of various HVAC systems, utility savings efforts, lighting, and fire/life safety systems, to ensure optimal client/tenant satisfaction. About the Role
The Maintenance Technician keeps building equipment and spaces running safely and reliably. You’ll troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors/hardware, and other facility systems, and you’ll complete preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
You’ll use a work order system to track requests, communicate with tenants and vendors, and document completed work. This role is hands-on and field-based; helping keep our medical office buildings clean, safe, and fully operational for tenants, clients, and patients. Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Receive, diagnose, and complete work orders in the work order system; document findings, parts used, and final resolution
Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
Respond to service calls and emergencies; troubleshoot safely, make repairs or temporary fixes as needed, and escalate when required
Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies, and common parts; track usage and notify leadership when reorders are needed
Communicate status and timelines clearly with tenants, vendors, and internal team members; coordinate access and scheduling for repairs
Follow all safety practices and site procedures; comply with applicable codes, policies, and documentation requirements
Travel to assigned properties throughout the DFW Metroplex; mileage reimbursed in accordance with company policy
Support the Chief Engineer by monitoring building systems, coordinating vendor work, and verifying quality/closeout of completed services
