Summary/Objective
The Outside Sales Representative sells the services of Lightning Bay Pneu-Draulics to customers and potential customers resulting in revenue generation. In addition, the employee in this position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning, sales reporting and technical development of services offered to customers.

Manages relationship with current customers, makes sales contacts and researches customer needs and develops application of products and services while accurately estimating and quoting customersManages relationship with new customers, makes sales contacts, researches new leads, makes cold calls (in-person and over the phone), develops relationships with customers and generates new businessParticipates in sales planning and forecasting with senior management, sells, estimates and delivers quotes to customers via sales presentations and closes salesWorks with senior management to develop weekly sales goals, manage sales budgets in a timely fashion, provides weekly sales reports and meets sales goals as established by senior managementPromotes company and networks throughout the fluid power industry and works with vendor representatives and business affiliates for meetings, joint sales calls, networking and trade show participationDevelops and maintains communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers using established guidelines.Other duties as assigned by management

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience3-5 years of technical field sales experience.Technical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumaticsFluid power knowledge and experience working within the fluid power industry in a sales capacity.
Preferred Education and Experience
Fluid power certified, or willing to become fluid power certifiedAdvanced sales trainingTraining and/or education in hydraulic and mechanical systems including technical experience with valves, cylinders, pumps, motors and related hydraulic systemsExperience and knowledge of Marine/Offshore, Mining and general industrial marketsExperience providing price quotes to customer in the fluid power industry

Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for stationary mechanical maintenance services; maintains, inspects and repairs equipment and vehicles to ensure safety and on-going operation.Diagnoses and repairs operating equipment including electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.Diagnoses, tests, repairs and maintains stationary processing equipment such as balers, conveyors, hoppers, electric motors and controls, as well as maintenance shop and company facilities.Performs basic fabrication work using welding equipment, torches, tools and/or machinery.Accurately and efficiently completes paperwork and/or computer database entries relating to the work performed.Other duties as assigned.Millwright Qualifications:
Four years of progressively responsible mechanical experience as a journeyman mechanic (or equivalent combination of education and experience).Mining and Marine industry experience preferred.Experience working in a maintenance facility or related environment with vehicles, processing equipment such as: Hydraulics, balers, conveyors, hoppers, electric motors, and landfill equipment preferred.Expert knowledge of Hydraulics, heavy equipment mechanical components and parts, as well as fabrication tools and techniques.Knowledge of alternating and direct current electrical controls and motor systems.Knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, federal, state and local job site health and safety rules, regulations and best practices; understanding of potential job hazards.Basic computer programs.High school diploma or GED preferred.Graduation from a formalized mechanical trade school highly desirable.Valid driver's license, required.
