Full Time - Residential Technician
Liberty Bay Recovery is looking for a hardworking, caring and dependable Residential Technician willing to provide superior care to patient’s residing in the recovery center. The primary job duties include various tasks maintaining the facility and assisting residents with their activities of daily living and promoting independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
Manning the nurse’s station to answer questions and direct clients.General office work.Knowledge of the company and services offered and can accurately describe this information to new clients.Accompanying clients outside for cigarette breaks.Preparing bedrooms for new admissions, which includes dressing beds with clean sheets and comforter, vacuuming the carpet, cleaning all hard surfaces and ensuring each room has the proper accommodations (alarm clock, sound machine, fan, hamper, etc.).Assisting the kitchen with washing, drying and putting away dishes.Tidying up the dining area after meal times to include wiping all tables and chairs, pushing in chairs, sweeping and mopping the floor, emptying trashes, etc.Checking the client bathrooms for cleanliness.Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the day rooms, which includes removing any dishes or trash, folding and putting away blankets, straightening pillows, sanitizing hard surfaces, etc.Assisting housekeeping staff with laundry.Maintains professional boundaries with clients and interacts with them in an appropriate manner.Assisting medical or kitchen staff with any other related tasks.Assist in admission process (UA collection, searching property, BA testing, sanitation, etc.).Thoroughly searches individuals’ belongings upon admission and properly disposes of any forbidden items.Properly logs and stores individuals’ belongings.Passing, logging and disposal of medications.Always demonstrates proper handwashing techniques and uses gloves whenever necessary.Administers medication by the route ordered according to the physician’s orders.Completes hourly rounds for each client and appropriately assesses the environment/need for increased checks.Checking vitals for individuals.Auditing and correcting EHR records.Assisting with Omnicell – witnessing the removal of scheduled medications.Assists with the discharge process and completes all necessary documentation.Admitting and assisting with discharging individuals into Omnicell/Omniview.Assists with completing any weekly/monthly medical report forms.Keeps medication rooms and medication cart cleaned, stocked and organized at all times.Participates in facility quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for efficiency and improved patient experienceAbility to successfully complete training in, and demonstrate a practical use of, Medication Administration, CPR, First Aid and behavior intervention techniques.Ability to lift 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.Good written and oral communication skills.Good computer skills in order to access emails, training and record keeping/data collection software.Ability to perform general household upkeep and maintenance.Any other related tasks as assigned.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.BLS preferred but will certify on site if needed.Must pass all background and driving record checks.Benefits:

Per Diem - Registered Nurse
Liberty Bay is looking for a Per Diem Registered Nurse to care for our patients in our newly acquired residential facility in Portland, ME. Responsibilities:
Complete the admission procedures, which may include the completion of paperwork, orientation of the individual and monitor urinalysis collection.Thoroughly searches individuals’ belongings upon admission and properly disposes of any forbidden items.Administer and read the tuberculosis skin test.Document in the individual’s chart the results of the nursing assessment, treatment plan, physician’s orders, progress notes and other individual-related data.Provide direct care to the individuals we serve.Monitors for signs and symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal.Provide medically monitored evaluation and withdrawal management to individuals served in the Detoxification Unit under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.Monitoring for changes in condition.Maintaining hygienic and safe work environment in compliance with the healthcare procedures.Maintain all necessary documentation.Update and maintain accurate Medication Administration Records.Manage and administer medication as ordered by the Medical Director.Providing directions to the technicians on assigned shift.Develop a treatment plan with the individual to address medical issues.Provide emotional support through listening, counseling and answering questions.Consult with in-house staff and other outside professionals to assure comprehensive, quality care for clients.Provide referrals for identified needs of the individual that cannot be met by the Agency.Maintains professional boundaries with clients and interacts with them in an appropriate manner.Prefer working knowledge of medical detoxification for substance abuse.Knowledge of the signs and symptoms of substance intoxication and withdrawal including pharmacological factors.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to work with a diverse population.Must have strong leadership, team building and communication skills.Ability to perform the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation where applicableMust be able to physically respond to individuals’ needs in the event of a crisis situation.Good verbal and written communication skills required.Knowledge of the American Society of Addiction Medicine placement criteria and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual as it relates to substance-related disorders or able to acquire the knowledge.Knowledge of the Code of Ethics for nurses.Knowledge of the federal drug and alcohol confidentiality law (42 C.F.R. Part 2) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, individuals served, outside professionals and the general public.Qualifications:
Must hold an unrestricted RN license in the state of Maine.Requires current certifications in CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens.Prefer 1 year of detox, emergency or med-surge nursing experience.Must pass State of Maine criminal background, drug screen and driving record checks.

Drug and alcohol counselors provide addiction prevention services and treatment. Their duties include but are not limited to screening. intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, client education, referrals, reports, recordkeeping, and a consultation with other professionals regarding client treatment and services. Drug and alcohol counselors assist clients with developing treatment plans and provide support and feedback that ensures clients to abstain from substances and live happy and productive lives free of their addiction.
Responsibilities:
● Work collaboratively with multiple health and criminal justice professionals using tact, diplomacy, and discipline
● Able to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
● Complete documentation of individual, group progress notes within 24 hours of service
● Complete individual treatment plans within regulatory timeframe
● Complete ongoing reviews of treatment plan with clients weekly
● Complete documentation of discharge notes of all clients within 24 hours of discharge
● Report any complaints or violations of licensing guidelines to clinical supervisor within 24 hours of being notified of violation
● Complete with client, individual treatment plan within 5 business days for all levels of care and within 24 hours for Detox LOC
● Attend consistent care team meetings based on clients’ needs
● Demonstrates and fosters the company’s Mission, Vision and Values
● Must meet pre-employment and maintain all applicable state, national, and job-related guidelines for reference checking, background screening,10 panel urine drug screening, health screening, DMV (if applicable), insurance (if applicable), and license/credential verifications
● Versatile, flexible, and willing to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
● Provide daily communication/collaboration with treatment team of residents on personal caseload
● Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions with program participants on personal caseload
● Maintain all ethical standards consistent with his/her own professional licensing board in addition to standards
● Adheres to all HIPAA guidelines
● Participate in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices
Qualifications:
● Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health, Social Work, or similar masters level degrees
● Licensed or certified in the state of Maine is preferred but not required.
Acceptable licensure to include (LCSW, LADC, LCPC)Acceptable certifications (CAC,CCS)● 2-4 years direct experience in the field of mental health and substance use disorders preferred but not required
● Thorough knowledge of causes and treatments of addiction and are trained to make decisions based on ethical and professional standards
● Maintain individual professional license in good standing
● Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
Salary Range:
Salary ranges from $60,000.00 to $75,587.20 annually.
The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.
