    Job DescriptionJob Description

    The role of a Systems Administrator involves overseeing the maintenance and operation of computer systems within the organization. This position requires ensuring the efficiency and security of the network infrastructure and resolving technical issues as they arise.

    The systems administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's IT needs while complying with Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC). The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.

    2. Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.

    3. Install and maintain security systems to protect company data and networks from unauthorized access or breaches.

    4. Evaluate and modify system's performance, plan and implement enhancements to system software, hardware, and infrastructure.

    5. Provide technical support and guidance to users on day-to-day system-related issues and ensure efficient resolution of all problems.

    6. Create and maintain documentation related to system configuration, mapping systems, and network layouts.

    7. Manage system backups and perform data recovery operations as needed.

    8. Collaborate with team members and IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives.

    9. Conduct regular audits to ensure system compliance with internal and external security standards and regulations.

    10. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends to provide recommendations for continuous improvement of systems and network infrastructure.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Experience with Microsoft Intune or other MDM platforms

    2. Familiar with Office 365 and Azure AD

    3. Understanding of CMMC or other compliance frameworks

    4. Previous experience with Jira or other IT ticketing systems

    5. Exposure to firewall or Unifi/Ubiquiti systems


    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Must be physically able to operate various machines and equipment, including computers, office equipment, telephones, etc. Physical demands are essentially those of sedentary work. Tasks may require extended periods at a keyboard or workstation. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

This role involves managing deadlines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    1. Projects are coordinated, planned, and executed by the Program Manager.

    2. Deadlines and milestones are monitored and adhered to by the Program Manager.

    3. Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

    4. Resources, budgets, and timelines are managed effectively by the Program Manager.

    5. Risks and issues are identified, assessed, and mitigated by the Program Manager.

    6. Regular status updates and executive briefs are provided to senior leadership.

    7. Utilization of dashboards and task tracking systems are required.

    8. Lead and motivate project teams to deliver high-quality results within scheduled timelines.

    9. Establish and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors as needed.

    10. Develop and implement standard operating procedures, project plans, lessons learned, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management methodologies, efficiency, and outcomes.

    11. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to support their professional development.

    Required Qualifications

    3–7 years of experience in program management, project management, operations management, logistics coordination, or a related role.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, briefings, and project documentation.Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and driving accountability across stakeholders.Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Jira, or similar collaboration and project tracking platforms.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to adapt quickly to evolving operational requirements, shifting priorities, and mission-driven environments.

    Preferred Skills and Qualifications

    PMP, CAPM, Agile, Scrum, or related project management certifications preferredExperience supporting government, defense, or mission-driven operational environments Familiarity with operational technology systems, communications infrastructure, or IT support environments Understanding of cybersecurity, operational security, or compliance frameworks such as CMMC Experience supporting field operations or remote operational environments Ability to adapt quickly to evolving operational requirements and mission priorities
