    Job Description

    The Sales Specialist will provide first line technical sales support for the Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines. They will make use of enhanced opportunities for upselling and driving the sales of LGC’s manufactured products. The role will interact with the Sales Director, Account Managers, and Quoting Specialists to achieve annual sales targets.

    What you’ll do:

    Manage accounts in assigned area, present LGC Standards products to new/existing customers in various industries.Identify and close new prospect opportunities generated from a combination of prospecting and qualification from marketing-provided and self-generated leads.Collaborate with LGC Standard’s sales resources (specialists, customer service, etc.) to drive impactful customer experience.Use LGC’s sales tools and virtual capabilities to prospect, nurture and close opportunities, and conduct ongoing territory planning.Meet sales targets in a specific region, using collaborators to secure sales from both new and current customers.Work with marketing to launch new products and stay informed of competitor trends and activities.Efficiently handle territory by strategically covering and engaging with key account collaborators: end users, procurement, and influential individuals.Own the overall distribution relationship within the territory to include high impact activities, business reviews, specialist support and training.Manage effective pricing strategies to include – but not limited to – contracts and customer specific pricing: renewals, negotiations, and implementations.Qualifications

    What you'll bring:

    Scientific background in Analytical Chemistry - Inorganic and/or Organic Chemistry, Chemical Synthesis.Formal qualification in an applicable field: Pharmaceutical, Life Science/Biotech, Environmental/Food/Life sciences, Industrial science etc.Non-sales candidates with solid technical understanding and demonstrable business competence are encouraged to apply.Experience in meeting/exceeding sales targets, preferably with business-to-business sales experience will be advantageous.Demonstrated experience in preparing and implementing project plans.Proven ability to establish collaborative relationships at all appropriate customer role levels.Located in Pacific Northwest/Colorado region and ability to travel up to 20% of time.

    Nice to Have:

    Experience using relevant systems and tools such as CRM, ERP (IFS), Salesforce, Microsoft Office suite, supply chain process management tools.Laboratory experience in chemistry is an asset.Relevant business insight in the Analytical Chemistry market.Knowledge of varying supply chain procurement processes and or options.

    Additional Information

    Pay range for this role is:

    Minimum: USD$68,000/ per year

    Maximum: USD$105,000/ per year

    The salary range provided covers the minimum and maximum amounts projected for this role. The actual base salary will be influenced by factors like experience, skills, and location.

    Key Responsibilities

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:
