You will provide psychiatric consultation and follow-up for Temple University Hospital, a 979-bed, award-winning academic medical center offering a wide range of tertiary and quaternary programs. Our CL service operates under a traditional consult model enhanced by specialized service lines for patients with complex psychiatric needs and embedded services in key clinical areas. The team includes nationally recognized board-certified faculty, PGY2 and PGY4 psychiatry residents, and 3rd- and 4th-year medical students, with additional rotations from other specialties. Beyond inpatient care, you will support consultations for Jeanes Hospital, a 176-bed community hospital, and collaborate on outpatient CL services alongside residents in the CL Psychiatry subspecialty track. Temple Health is expanding its mental health programs, including a comprehensive women’s mental health initiative, proactive CL services, and integrated behavioral health care within primary care practices across the system. This position offers robust opportunities for bedside and didactic teaching, resident supervision, and participation in multidisciplinary research efforts throughout the Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Weekend/evening call responsibilities are shared on a rotating basis (approximately three weekends per year).
