Autodesk Inventor + SDS Experience 35 years using Autodesk Inventor with SDS (Substation Design Suite) in the substation industry.
Substation Industry Background Substation experience is mandatory.
Candidates with Inventor only must have substation experience.
Inventoronly candidates without substation experience will not be considered.
Ability to independently support drafting and design tasks.
Strong understanding of engineering documentation, standards, and quality processes.
Ability to review design inputs for accuracy and consistency.
Engineering Standards Apply COMPANY standards, systems, document control procedures, departmental guides, and applicable codes.
Quality & Continuous Improvement Ensure accuracy of deliverables, support continuous improvement, and verify compliance with project standards.
Engineering Production
Create and modify design deliverables based on multiple design inputs.
Develop design concepts and perform computations such as material quantities and estimates.
Evaluate and improve methods, processes, and procedures.
Project Coordination Coordinate deliverables with other project groups to reduce errors; support field activities as needed; assist with project closeout tasks such as asbuilt documentation.
Client Focus Understand internal and external client priorities and deliver highquality work.
Knowledge Sharing & Technology Stay current on tools and processes; apply judgment in interpreting design inputs.
Mentorship May provide guidance, direction, and task delegation to other technicians.
Diploma or Certificate preferred.
Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Technology preferred.
