Essential Functions:
Conduct legal, statistical, documentary research using software, social media, etc.Draft legal documents, correspondence and pleadingsCompile and summarize depositions, medical/employment records, discovery and testimonyAssist attorney in preparation for hearings, depositions and trialsSchedule DepositionsDraft and revise pleadings, file with courtsConsult with clients and maintain confidentiality of client mattersManage billable time to meet billable hours goalBill according to client’s billing compliance guidelinesManage attorney calendarSkills/Qualifications:
Ability and desire to work as a member of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; transcription; documentation; knowledge of legal documents and terminology; accurate typing speed of 50 wpm, working collaboratively with attorneys, staff and clients; organization and multitasking, superior written and verbal communication skills. Mature, assertive, professional demeanor. Ability to maintain strict confidence.
Education & Experience:
Associates degree or certification in paralegal studies. 3 – 5 years’ experience as litigation paralegal
