Legal Secretary Job Duties: Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, and graphics, coordinating case preparation. File into Document Management System, organize, scan, and fax legal documents Maintain attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, and travel; recording and monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings and filing requirements with the court ahead of deadlines; monitoring evidence-gathering; anticipating changes in litigation or transaction preparing requirements Enter attorney billable/nonbillable time and reimbursable expenses; prepare invoices including third party; tracking payments. Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential. Proofread and correct prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax, and content. Build and maintain customer relationships with clients and vendors.
