    Under general supervision, performs work as needed to clean, maintain and prepare for events at the facility. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events. * Duties may include setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable wall, barricades, staging, tables, other furnishings and equipment. * Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include, but not limited to, preparing event spaces with equipment, loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal area and replenishing supplies. * Assist with pre/post event cleaning and janitorial tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping, carpet cleaning, window washing and waxing. * Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tile, replacing filters, etc. * Assist building engineers and operations as needed. * Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns or loss of property promptly to supervisor. * Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed. * Perform other duties as required. The Security Supervisor ensures effective operations of the Security department at the connected campus for the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland and Global Center for Health Innovation. This position assists the Security Manager and Assistant Security Manager with the supervision and training of employees, operations and asset protections, and coordinating the security department for the safety of the HCCC, its employees, clients, guests, and exhibitors. 1st Shift: 7am - 3:30pm Pay Range: $17.50/hr. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Supervise Security Officers and/or Guest Service Representatives assigned for shift. * Prepare for and conduct shift change - ensuring the Security Team is aware of events, their assigned post and job duties. * Coordinate security activities and information with the Security Manager and Assistant Manager. * Train new employees on post assignments and general security expectations. * Ensure the safety and security of the building and its attendants. * Perform and assign routine walks of the facility perimeter inside and out. * Identify potential hazards and inform appropriate staff. * Write and review daily logs, camera operations, and video. * Investigate, document and report accidents and incidents. * Respond to emergency situations as applicable and/or as requested. * Monitor Security Officer activities at assigned posts, and verify post logbooks for accuracy. * Provide ongoing training to Security Officers and document such training activities. * Assist in scheduling of employees to ensure adequate security coverage. * Monitor employees' attendance and discuss attendance trends, concerns, and potential overtime issues with Security Manager & Assistant Security Manager; submit appropriate and accurate documentation of attendance related paperwork to HR. * When assigned, monitor the command center systems including but not limited to camera review, access control systems and fire/life safety systems. * Perform other duties as assigned. The Assistant Groundskeeper's primary responsibility is to maintain and paint the field for Chicago Fire MLS soccer matches, as well as assisting with other field events, and the surrounding parkland grass areas, by performing personally the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES Includes the following - other duties may be assigned: Maintenance Responsibilities: * Responsible for the care, maintenance, and upkeep of playing field grass and surrounding parkland areas * Operate vehicles and powered equipment including mowers, tractors, snow blowers, sod cutters, and forklifts * Mow and edge lawns using power mowers or edgers * Water the field and manage the irrigation system * Apply fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides manually or with automatic sprayers/spreaders * Patch and repair playing field grass; add sand as necessary * Assist in tarping the playing field when required * Install and remove field goals, team benches, stairs, and other structures for events * Replace old sod and install new sod as needed * Paint field markings according to event requirements (including football, soccer, concerts, and other major events) * Install and remove terraplas flooring for concerts * Monitor and report issues with the irrigation system * Mark irrigation lines before parkland events * Manage snow production on the sledding hill in winter * Clear snow from sidewalks, gates, and other exterior areas around Soldier Field as required * Maintain the artificial field at ComEd Recreational Center Supervision Responsibilities: * Direct field labor staff during tarping, terraplas installation/removal, and structural setup/teardown Administrative Responsibilities: * Research sod farms, coordinate with suppliers, and manage the sod budget with accounting * Collect sod receipts post-installation for accounting reconciliation * Monitor weather via Weather Command and liaise with meteorologists for inclement weather planning * Order bulk supplies such as salt, sand, straw, and fertilizer * Foster and maintain relationships with Fire Groundskeeper and other clients QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
