The Short Version
We work hard, look out for each other, and take pride in delivering a great experience for our clients and our people. We need an HR Coordinator who does the same; someone vibrant and confident who can own the full employee journey, from recruiting to payroll to day-to-day support.
A Day in the Life
You’ll wear a few hats here and we think that’s a good thing. As an integral part of our HR team, you’ll provide direct support to leadership and employees and help us create a workplace that fosters quality, productivity, and personal and professional growth. Expect to spend your time on the following, but not limited to:
• Sourcing and screening candidates, conducting interviews, and making offer recommendations
• Running smooth, welcoming onboarding experiences which can include new hire paperwork, orientation, and everything in between
• Assisting with bi-weekly payroll processing: reviewing timecards, identifying discrepancies and working with staff to resolve, and supporting sick time and PTO administration (Paycom experience a plus)
• Serving as the liaison between employees and management including fielding questions, interpreting policies, supporting disciplinary actions and performance evaluations
• Managing benefits questions, leave of absences, and COBRA notifications; processing exit packages and conducting exit interviews
• Maintaining personnel records and keeping employee badges and cardroom work permit applications and badges current (training provided)
• Continuously establishing, implementing, and updating HR and payroll processes that keep us compliant with California employment law
You’re a Great Fit If You...
• Have 1+ years of broad HR experience covering recruitment, employee relations, and payroll or have 1+ year in a supervisory or managerial role
• Are someone people actually feel comfortable coming to with problems because you can handle sensitive matters with discretion
• Can juggle priorities without dropping the ball and thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Paycom experience a plus
• Hold or are willing to pursue a PHR, SPHR, or California-specific HR certification (a plus)
• Can obtain a valid California Bureau of Gambling Control cardroom work permit
The Perks
• Health, dental, and vision coverage
• PTO + paid holidays
• Room to grow as our team grows
