    We are seeking an experienced Demographic Research & Planning Specialist for a position on a school district new construction and modernization program. DUTIES Perform the collection, research and analysis of a broad range of demographic data sources such as student records, population data sets obtained from the district and local and state agencies. Generate reports, graphs and charts to collate information collected and develop presentations. Use statistical analysis and develop student projections and enrollment by school or cluster for proposed boundary changes. Compile and assess demographic research and statistical studies involving projections in enrollment fluctuations at schools and various areas in the district. Participate in summaries and other written materials to ensure the access to demographic information and allow stakeholders to make informed decisions. Analyze proposals for attendance zone changes and its effect on planning for school construction projects. Respond to inquiries related to zoning and enrollment data, including demographic and geographic issues from district staff and outside agencies. Participate in field on-site surveys to determine demographic and geographic student population data and project classroom capacities. Develop and maintain zone grid maps to determine school locations, boundaries for the district Maintains quality control of maps and documents. Performs other related tasks required. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Minimum of five (5) years full-time paid professional experience in research, mapping or data analysis in demography, urban planning, statistics, geography or any related field. Experience in compiling and analyzing school or enrollment data is preferred. REQUIRED EDUCATION Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in urban planning, mathematics, geography, economics or related field.     We are seeking an experienced HVAC Field Supervisor for a position on a school district modernization program. DUTIES: Identifies and collects building component data on systems installed at District sites. Uses various computer formats to enter data (e.g., Tablets, laptops, Smartphones, etc.) Uses knowledge and experience in building construction to identify building systems that are hidden behind walls, ceilings and floors. Assesses the overall condition and remaining service life of building system components based on construction experience and knowledge. Applies direction and guidance on determining RSL Values specific to LAUSD from FCA Unit leadership. Works collaboratively with other trade surveyors to gather quantities, measurements, boilerplate information, etc., as needed and directed. Conducts/Supports ad hoc surveys related to District sites and buildings on an as needed basis. May supervise the performance of staff and survey participants as needed; serve as a resource to staff. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 6 or more years full time paid professional experience working with on-site construction management teams as well as with campus administrators, faculty and staff. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management. Candidates without a bachelor's degree must have at least 10 years of experience. Four of the ten years of experience may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.
