Installation:Installing pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.Installing plumbing fixtures like sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.Installing appliances like dishwashers, water heaters, and washing machines.Repair and Maintenance:Diagnosing and repairing leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues.Repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning plumbing equipment.Maintaining plumbing systems to ensure proper functioning.Other Tasks:Clearing blocked drains and pipes.Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.Collaborating with other tradespeople like contractors, electricians, and pipefitters.Ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.Providing estimates and quotes for plumbing services.Specific Plumbing Systems:Working with water supply lines, drainage systems, and sewage systems.Installing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems.Working with gas lines (requires specialized training and certification).Physical Requirements
Must be able to talk or hear, stand, walk, bend, stoop, stretch, twist, use hands, and/or reach out for prolonged periods of time to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.Must possess visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.Dexterity: Cutting and threading pipes, attaching fittings, and welding seamsBalance and agility: Working at heights and in awkward positionsHearing sensitivity: Being able to tell the difference between sounds that vary in pitch and loudnessMust be aware of OSHA safety standardsLocation: Ocala, FL

Pay: $28-$34 per hour, DOE
