    Job DescriptionJob DescriptionShipyard Tool Room / Inventory Control AttendantPosition SummaryThe Tool Room / Inventory Control Attendant is responsible for the receipt, issuance, tracking, maintenance, and accountability of tools, equipment, materials, and consumable supplies. This role supports production operations by maintaining effective inventory control, ensuring compliance with tool control procedures, overseeing calibration programs, and managing the storage and distribution of PPE and hazardous materials (HazMat).Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain control and accountability of the tool room, including issuing and receiving tools, PPE, HazMat, parts, and supplies to production personnel. Mark, identify, and track tools and equipment in accordance with company procedures. Enforce the facility's Tool Control Program and ensure compliance throughout all operational areas. Maintain accurate records within the tool and equipment asset control database. Perform minor repairs, preventive maintenance, servicing, and lubrication of tools and equipment. Monitor inventory levels of consumable materials and ensure adequate stock is available to support operations. Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accountability and accuracy. Inspect tools and equipment regularly to verify serviceability and operational readiness. Inspect and test electrical tools and equipment for defects, damage, or excessive wear; report discrepancies to management. Administer and maintain the calibration recall program, including tracking and scheduling gauge calibrations. Manage the requisitioning, storage, and accountability of hazardous materials (HazMat). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool room environment. Support and execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment life and promote safe operations. Adhere to all company policies, operating procedures, safety standards, and quality management system requirements. Assist in preparing facility equipment, records, and inventories for internal and third-party audits. Promote and maintain a safe working environment throughout the facility. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBasic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software applications as required. Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety regulations, technical documents, operating procedures, and manuals. Ability to prepare routine reports, maintain records, and complete documentation accurately. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and communicate issues effectively to management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills, including responsiveness, active listening, and follow-through. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities. Working knowledge of inventory control, asset tracking, and accountability procedures preferred. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and inventory-related reconciliations. Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, scanners, copiers, telephones, and printers. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow established processes and maintain compliance with company procedures. Ability to exercise judgment and apply experience to resolve routine operational issues. Preferred ExperiencePrevious experience in a tool room, warehouse, inventory control, shipyard, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred. Experience with asset management, tool tracking systems, calibration programs, or inventory software is highly desirable.     LEAD Staffing is currently building our next generation of of high-performing sales professionals into National Sales Representatives in the skilled trades and construction staffing space.


    Backed by LEAD’s 16+ years of industry experience, in a hands-on training environment, you’ll work directly with experienced producers and leadership, breaking into and building accounts tied to data centers, industrial projects, and large-scale commercial construction across the U.S.


    This is not a plug-and-play sales job. It’s a career track.


    What You’ll Be Doing


    Cold calling decision-makers

    Multi-channel outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn, video call)

    Building your own pipeline and book of business

    Working side-by-side with a dedicated sales mentor (in-office, daily)

    Selling - this is a pure sales role. Recruiting is handled by our established internal team


    Compensation & Growth


    Competitive base salary (varying depending on experience) + uncapped commission

    Year 1 On Target Earnings: 80K–$100K

    Eligible for commission immediately
