We are seeking dedicated Wood Shop Associates to join our medium-sized team in NW Portland. If you take pride in working with your hands, have experience with both hand and power tools, and are comfortable with regular heavy lifting, this opportunity is for you. As part of our team, you will report to the Shop Supervisor and contribute to producing high-quality carpentry, cabinetry, or furniture projects in a safe and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectivelyMeasure materials accurately using a tape measure to the 1/16th inchHandle and move heavy materials regularly (up to 100 lbs)Assemble components following carpentry and furniture building techniquesInspect work for quality and adherence to safety standardsMaintain equipment and manage inventory as neededCollaborate with team members to meet production goalsComply with all safety protocols and shop policies
Required Qualifications
Entry-level experience in carpentry or related fieldsAbility to read a tape measure accurately to the 1/16th inchProficient in operating power toolsKnowledge of carpentry techniques and carpentry safety complianceCapable of regular heavy lifting up to 100 lbsStrong time management and reliabilityAttention to detail and commitment to qualityEffective team collaboration skillsMust be able to pass drug screen INCLUDING NO THC.
