** Full end of year bonus + Signing bonus ** You have the science degree. You have the patent litigation experience. So why are you still stuck on the sidelines? You should be taking depositions, arguing in court, and working with key experts—not just summarizing their reports. You’re ready to be a trial lawyer, not just a litigation associate. We are building a trial team for a series of high-stakes biologics and pharmaceutical patent disputes. This isn't a backfill position; it's a strategic expansion for a Tier 1 practice that consistently tries and wins the biggest cases in the life sciences sector. What You'll Actually Do: Get substantive, stand-up courtroom and deposition experience from day one. Work directly with trial partners who are leaders in the field, not through layers of senior associates. Shape case strategy on disputes involving blockbuster drugs and cutting-edge gene therapies. What You Bring: 2-7 years of patent litigation experience. A technical degree in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, or a related discipline is required. A desire to be in the courtroom and the drive to win. Bar admission in good standing. What You Get: Top-of-Market Pay: Cravath scale base salary No Bonus Left Behind: A guaranteed, full year-end bonus this year (no pro-ration) plus a significant signing bonus for joining the team ASAP. Real Professional Development: A bespoke training program designed to build first-chair trial lawyers, not just support staff. Premier Benefits: Top-tier health, wellness, and family leave benefits that exceed the industry standard. The Catch: We are selectively and confidentially recruiting for 2-3 key associates for this specific trial team. The interview process will be fast, and decisions will be made quickly. This is your chance to leapfrog your peers. Apply Now Submit your application through LinkedIn or email me directly at srushing@laterallink.com Read Less

You didn't go to law school to spend three years reviewing 401(k) plan documents in a windowless office. You should be advising private equity funds on their biggest deals, shaping DOL guidance that moves markets, and telling Goldman Sachs whether their structured product passes ERISA muster—not just running prohibited transaction checklists. You're ready to be a trusted advisor on billion-dollar transactions, not just an ERISA compliance clerk. A top AmLaw firm is expanding its elite ERISA Fiduciary practice to meet surging demand from financial institutions, asset managers, and private funds navigating the most complex regulatory landscape in decades. This isn't about filling a spot on the bench. This is about adding a sharp, hungry lawyer to a practice that advises on the deals you read about in the WSJ. What You'll Actually Do: Advise private equity and hedge funds on ERISA compliance for fund formation and complex transactions Work directly with clients on credit agreements, structured finance products, and alternative investments Draft comment letters on proposed DOL regulations that will shape the industry Provide real-time ERISA counsel on live deals—your analysis drives whether transactions move forward Build expertise across private funds, financial products, and plan sponsor matters (not just one narrow lane) What You Bring: 1-4 years of experience (ERISA background helpful but not required—they'll train analytical thinkers) Exceptional writing and analytical skills (you'll be drafting client memos and regulatory comments, not just reviewing forms) Meticulous attention to detail without losing sight of business objectives JD from 2021-2024; strong academic credentials Bar admission in DC or Illinois (or ability to waive in) What You Get: Top Compensation: Cravath scale pay + bonus Sophisticated Work: Advise on transactions that shape the financial services industry Direct Client Exposure: Work with household name institutions from day one Regulatory Impact: Help draft the rules that govern trillion-dollar markets Practice Diversity: Exposure to private funds, structured products, and plan sponsor work—not just one repetitive task The Catch: This practice sits at the intersection of finance and regulation. You need to understand both complex financial structures AND arcane ERISA rules. It's intellectually demanding, and they're selective about who they add. This is your chance to join an ERISA practice that actually advises on deals that matter. Apply Now: DM me directly or send your resume confidentially to srushing@laterallink.com. You should be negotiating license deals for the next unicorn, structuring IP transactions for Series C startups, and advising founders on distribution agreements that will define their market strategy—not drowning in discovery or babysitting diligence checklists. You're five years into capital markets and you're still reviewing 10-Ks for typos. You draft comfort letter checklists. You've never actually spoken to an issuer's CFO or negotiated with underwriters' counsel. You should be running IPOs from kickoff to pricing, negotiating underwriting agreements, and advising Fortune 500 treasurers on debt offerings—not stuck in the SEC comment response factory cranking out disclosure edits. You're ready to be a trusted capital markets advisor, not just another body on the closing checklist. A top tier AmLaw firm is strategically expanding its nationally recognized Corporate Finance and Capital Markets practice —a 100+ lawyer global platform that structures innovative financing transactions for clients across asset management, life sciences, and other major industries. This isn't about filling a grunt role. This is about adding sophisticated capital markets lawyers who can independently run key aspects of transactions from day one. What You'll Actually Do: Run key aspects of transactions independently —from due diligence through closing, not just support roles Represent issuers, underwriters, and placement agents in public offerings and private placements Draft and negotiate underwriting agreements, purchase agreements, and offering documents (not just review them) Handle 1933 Act and 1934 Act compliance and reporting matters with real ownership Work on IPOs, debt financings, sovereign bond offerings, and private credit fund raises Advise business development companies (BDCs) and 1940 Act funds on complex regulatory matters Collaborate with colleagues across U.S., European, and Asian offices on cross-border transactions Build direct relationships with issuers, investment banks, and institutional investors Work on market-leading deals that Bloomberg, Legal 500, and IFLR regularly cover What You Bring: 5+ years of capital markets experience at a sophisticated law firm Proven experience representing issuers, underwriters, and/or placement agents in securities offerings Strong knowledge of 1933 Act and 1934 Act compliance and reporting requirements Experience running key aspects of deals (not just supporting them) Excellent drafting and negotiation skills BDC and 1940 Act fund experience is a significant plus Strong academic credentials Large law firm background preferred What You Get: Elite Compensation: Cravath scale, $365K+ based on class year and experience Sophisticated Platform: 100+ capital markets lawyers across global offices Market Leading Work: IPOs, sovereign offerings, private credit fund formations, life sciences financings Real Responsibility: Run transactions, don't just support them Global Collaboration: Work seamlessly across U.S., European, and Asian offices Industry Recognition: Regular coverage in Bloomberg, Legal 500, and IFLR for groundbreaking transactions The Catch: This role requires lawyers who can take ownership of complex transactions immediately. You need to be comfortable independently managing due diligence, coordinating with multiple parties, and interfacing with senior clients and investment bankers. If you need extensive supervision or aren't ready to be a key deal team member, this isn't the right fit. But if you're ready to actually practice capital markets law at the highest level—working on the deals that define markets—this is your opportunity.
