About the Role:
The Steel Barco 2nd shift Operator will be tasked to run our Oscillating line on 2nd shift. This position will need a highly motivated self-sufficient individual due to a lack of supervision on this shift. Once training is complete the operator and an assistant operator will work 2nd shift. Operators are required to troubleshoot issues, report quality issues, set up the machine based on the order requirements and meet daily production goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to be trained on the specific machine/equipment hired for.Must be able to read and fill out all documents related to job after training.Must be able to do basic math which includes fractions and decimals.Must have the ability to read tape measure, calipers and micrometer (after training).Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and stoop/bend repeatedly throughout the day.Must be able to lift 50 lbs occasionally.Must be able to work 2nd shift after training is complete.Preferred Qualifications:

About the Role:
The Bander plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by ensuring that products are securely and efficiently bundled for storage, transport, and distribution. This position is required to learn all aspects of the packaging line which includes downing finished product on the conveyer line, operating the banding head, operating a jib crane and learning the computer system associated with the packaging line. The hours for this position, will be from 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday – Thursday, with overtime worked on Friday when needed. This is an entry level position and the opportunity for advancement will be available for those that show good work ethic and the ability to master the tasks of this position.

A General Laborer is responsible for finishing and packaging parts according to customer specifications. This includes but is not limited to hand grinding, use of belt sander, Dynafile, die grinder, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Locates material and if necessary, moves the material to the appropriate area using equipment such as a forklift or overhead crane. Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 75 pounds of material. Products in excess of 75 pounds must be moved either via team lift or use of appropriate device(s). Ask your supervisor if there are any questions.
• Weighs material to determine proper packaging method and to ensure that material will reach the customer’s destination in a safe and presentable manner.
• Count out the number of parts to fill the customer’s order accurately.
• Grinds parts according to customer specifications and company procedures using the hand grinders, belt sander, Dynafile, die grinders, etc.
• Completes associated paperwork in accordance with company guidelines. Completes the order on the mainframe computer system by wanding the order and accurately entering required information.
• Prepare shipping tags using the department computer or by completing the tag manually if necessary.
• Communicates with previous/proceeding shifts as to work in process, priority of work orders to be completed during the next shift and any other pertinent information to ensure the smooth flow of production between shifts.
• Notifies the supervisor and/or maintenance department when department equipment is not running correctly or when assistance with preventive maintenance is needed.

A Burn Table Operator performs duties necessary to cut material according to customer specifications using plasma burn table equipment. In addition to preparing orders according to customer specifications, a Burn Table Operator is also responsible for the proper set-up, communication with proceeding shifts and monitoring burn table equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Loads equipment with product using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut. Removes all materials from the burn table after cutting and handles it according to router instructions.Prepares equipment to cut material by downloading or programming the computer according to customer specifications.Packages material for shipping when needed.Measures material before/after cutting to ensure compliance with customer specifications.Completes inspection reports after inspecting and measuring the material.Performs preventive maintenance as needed including (but not limited to) wiping down torches and equipment.Completes assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices with regards to individual safety, the safety of other employees, and the safe use of equipment in the workplace.Wears approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, etc.Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor, lead person or management.Working Conditions:
Working conditions may consist of loud noise, vibratory tools, repetitive motions, airborne particles such as metal dust and chips and exposure to chemicals, fumes and bright light. Physical requirements include continual standing, walking, lifting, twisting with periodic bending, climbing, stooping, crawling and crouching.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:
A minimum of one (1) year previous burn table work experience is preferred.Ability to read and understand measuring tools and equipment such as a tape measure, calipers and micrometer.Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.Ability to perform math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of fractions as well as convert fractions to decimals or vice versa.Ability to recognize and interpret colors according to the company’s classification system.Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, as well as lift and move heavier objects with the assistance of cranes, forklifts, or another employee.Knowledge of general shop procedures and rules including safety precautions.Ability and willingness to cooperate with co-workers and work as part of a production team.JSA (Job Safety Analysis) Laser Machine Operator
For burn table operators, their job will be in an inside environment that will consist of a noisy atmosphere. They will need to be able to lift, kneel, stand, bend, grasp, reach and twist while standing on a regular basis.
Some of the risk factors for their job will include repetitive motions, awkward postures, reaching above the shoulder and moving heavy objects.
Their main hazard but not limited to will be their head and eyes, after that some other hazards will include hand, foot, body, fall and noise hazards. Along with the head and eye hazards, some hazards that come from the job will be: improper bending/twisting, falling off the table, tripping over the product/material, getting too close to the torches or looking at the torches without proper glasses. Also includes handling and using equipment that could malfunction or be mishandled.
Some preventive measures will be having the proper PPE (safety glasses, shoes, hearing protection, etc.) on while making sure they are using the right technique when moving/lifting objects. Maintaining focus and being aware of what is going around the person at all times is another preventive measure.
