Summary The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for production on his/her assigned lines responsible and accountable for ensuring quality and production processes are being performed per defined standards. Supervises associates through effective leadership including coaching, developing, motivating, and supporting a team-oriented environment. Leads efforts to maintain 5S standards in all areas of operation championing continuous improvement efforts. Ensures compliance with all laws and regulations related to safety, OSHA and USDA. Current hours are M-F 12pm-9pm. How YOU will contribute Lead by example to promote and encourage employees to strongly commit to all food safety, employee safety, employee culture, and quality programs. Supervise production operations, shift, lines, and or other related functions by working toward process improvements, communicating changes, status updates, monitoring quality and safety standards, and taking the lead in challenging situations. Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety programs through regular adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), the performance of Red Zone audits, food safety checks (HACCP), and product quality checks conducted according to organization policies. Foreign Material (FM) Process - Improvement process stability. Sustainability of CAPA – Process Control utilizing 5-Why's and root cause analysis. Accommodate vacation coverage on first and second shifts. About YOU Bachelor's degree or minimum five (5) years of food processing related industry experience preferred. Knowledge of meat processing preferred. Minimum five (5) years of supervisory leadership experience within a food manufacturing environment. Familiar with food safety, food handling, GMP and plant safety guidelines. HACCP Certified preferred. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software; experience with computer report generation and general computer database usage. Ability to motivate people, specifically mentoring and coaching individuals to meet goals of the production area. Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time. Read Less

You won't just learn how our operations work; you'll gain real-world experience, make meaningful contributions, and grow into a leader who helps shape the future of Land O'Frost. Through mentorship, rotational experiences, and targeted development, trainees are equipped to step confidently into future technical and operations management roles. Must be willing to travel, relocate to the following areas: Lansing, IL, Searcy, AR and Madisonville, KY. How YOU Will Contribute Participate in an 18–24-month program consisting of up to four (4) to six (6)-month rotations that allow you to build leadership and functional skills through challenging rotational assignments and world-class training. Participate in typical Operations Track rotations including required rotational assignments in each of the following: Food Safety, Quality and Production with a fourth rotation to be selected from one of the following: Supply Chain, Engineering, Research Development, Environmental Health Safety and Continuous Improvement. Ability and willingness to travel and reside in the assigned business unit location ( Lansing, IL, Searcy, AR and Madisonville, KY Ability to complete a learning project and at the end of the rotation period, give a presentation at the end of each rotation. About YOU Bachelor's degree in operations management, Food Science, or Quality preferred, or related fields required. Consideration will also be given to candidates with degrees in Supply Chain, Engineering, Research Development, Environmental Health and Safety and Continuous Improvement or related field. Minimum GPA of 3.0. Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in Operations track fields preferred. MUST be willing to complete an 18–24-month program.
