Cost Analyst Location: Waynesboro, GA 30830 Duration: 3 years (Contact to hire) Shift: 1st shift Pay Range: $28.00 Hourly on W2 Job Description: Desired Qualifications: A Cost Analyst plays a critical role in an organization by analyzing financial data and costs associated with various projects, processes, or products. They provide valuable insights that help management make informed decisions regarding budgeting, pricing, and resource allocation. Below is a general description of the typical responsibilities and qualifications for a Cost Analyst: Key Responsibilities: Plan, collect and analyze data to determine costs of product production such as raw material costs, labor, and overhead. Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing processes to determine impact on the cost of products. Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports and related analysis which compares standard costs to actual production costs. Assist in estimating cost of new and proposed products. Provide management with reports comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products inclusive of current inflation trends. Partnering with the operations teams to ensure proper inventory management, annual physical inventory validations and daily cycle counts are performed in accordance with policy. Establish overhead rates for inventory and labor and update as appropriate. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent experience. 0-5 years in related cost analysis. Strong proficiency with office productivity applications (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with integrated ERP software, Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred. Must be able to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously. Superior organizational skills and attention to details. Work requires effective oral and written communications skills.
