A Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing laboratory tests, preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining accurate quality control and diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, label, and process samples for laboratory analysis.Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments according to established procedures.Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.Record, analyze, and report test results accurately.Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and quality standards.Maintain laboratory inventory, including chemicals, reagents, and supplies.Dispose of hazardous materials safely and according to regulations.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory work area.Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.
Qualifications:Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety regulations.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Good communication and record-keeping abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
