Commercial Electrical Project Manager
As an electrical project manager at Lakey, you would be responsible for overseeing the design, installation and supply of electrical systems. Day-to-day, you'd draw up schedules, allocate time, resource and budget, as well as manage staff to ensure work is completed on time, to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
· Plans, organizes, and staffs key field positions for assigned projects
· Establishes objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards to complete project scope of work per contract documents
· Analyzes bid documents (drawings, specifications, etc.) and existing site conditions to properly outline scope of work, including all general conditions and requirements
· Identifies risks in scope of work to ensure related costs are covered Manages all pre-construction requirements of projects to ensure efficiency and profitability
· Completes construction estimates and prices change orders
· Completes and submits RFI’s, change orders, and progress billing
· Clearly defines and manages labor hours, material procurement, equipment needs, and customer reporting requirements
· Deploys electricians with the correct materials and equipment to complete project scope of work and provides ongoing direction
· Conducts field visits to projects as needed to include pre-bid surveys, kick-off meetings, progress walks, punch walks, and turnover
Requirements:
· 7+ years of field experience as a journeyman electrician or Foreman
· 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager overseeing electrical scopes of work up to $1-12M
· Proficient in Bid board, Accubid, Procore, or similar type software
· Ability to communicate both verbally and thorough writing in a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner
· Ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines and urgency, and complete them in a timely and professional manner
· Ability to comprehend, summarize, edit, and analyze data
· Ability to create, navigate, search and update company systems (emails, work orders, reports, bids, invoices, etc.)
· Proficient with creating, editing, and analyzing Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and Power Point presentations
