Position Summary:
Lakeside Chautauqua is a non-profit organization located on one square mile of waterfront property on the Marblehead Peninsular. While we operate year-round, our busy season is from Memorial Day until Labor Day when we welcome thousands of guests to enjoy all that Lakeside has to offer.
The Lakeside Safety Services Professional supports, and oversees new initiatives as well as general safety operations. The candidate must be an energetic, self-starting individual. As part of the security team, you will collaborate with multiple team members, residents, guests, and management, participating wherever necessary to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations. Safety Services operate 24/7 year-round.

Position Summary: The Arts Management Intern assists in the coordination of activities and operations of the Programming Department. The objective is to provide the intern with a working knowledge of event production, administration, and management through hands-on experience in managing various programs and exhibits. Please note, this role doesn’t follow typical office hours and could include weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (to include other duties as assigned)
Under the supervision of the Visual Arts Manager, coordinate and execute all details of the Lakeside Chautauqua Art Show, the Lakeside Plein Air Festival, and Lakeside Photography Show. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Recruit and register participants
Create database of all entrants and their artwork
Communicate all show details to entrants and volunteers
Create binder of all artists’ biographies to share with attendees
Create tags for all artwork entries
Work with local art teacher to secure children’s entries
Coordinate and manage art intake and hanging, as well as art pick up at end of show
Arrange details of artwork sales and track all revenue
Recruit and schedule volunteers to man the gallery hours and art sales
Assist judge with award selection and announce awards at show openings
Under the supervision of the Visual Arts Manager, coordinate and execute all details of the Lakeside Talent Show. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Position Summary:
Under general supervision of and reporting directly to the Vice President-Finance, the Manager-Accounting will lead all day-to-day finance operations including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable including billing and the ticketing system, which is our major revenue source; will ensure the correct systems and procedures are in place to support effective internal controls by working with and supporting Operations, accurate financial information and flawless audits by the external auditors; will serve as the principal liaison to the external auditor; will work closely with Vice President – Finance to explore how finance functions can support program operations through analysis; will prepare, analyze and interpret periodic financial reports for Vice President-Finance for information and control; will assist the budget preparation process; completes all tasks in compliance with the policies, procedures, and goals of Lakeside Chautauqua.
Job Duties:

Reviews and ensures accuracy of data posted to the General Ledger system (i.e., revenue, expenditures, vendors, etc.). Reviews and ensure accuracy of data posted to Accounts Payable including the accuracy and proper posting of accounts payable invoices, receipts, requisitions, purchase orders and other documents. Ensure payment by designated due date, taking early payment discount when possible/economical.Reviews and ensures accuracy of account balances and monthly reconciliation process (i.e., bank deposits, withdrawals, transfer of funds, etc.).Reviews and ensures accuracy of data posted to the accounts receivable system (Billing of assessments to homeowners, ticketing revenue, donations, and miscellaneous revenues from various operating locations); reviews and analyzes A/R reports; administers write offs in accordance with policy/procedure; reviews/ensures outstanding balances are maintained at appropriate balances; and ultimately are collected.
