The ideal candidate has experience handling oversized or high-weight loads while maintaining strict safety and operational standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy-duty forklifts to transport, stack, load, and unload materials
Handle oversized, high-weight, or palletized loads safely and efficiently
Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage racks
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
Follow all warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations
Accurately complete load documentation and inventory records
Assist with warehouse organization and material placement
Report equipment issues, damages, or safety concerns immediately
Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and logistics teams
Requirements & QualificationsValid forklift certification (heavy or high-capacity forklifts required) experience will be considered
Proven experience operating heavy forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting
Ability to lift, move, and manage heavy materials safely
Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures
Basic math and record-keeping skills
Ability to work standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods
Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or outdoors if required
Preferred SkillsExperience with oversized or industrial loads
Knowledge of inventory systems or warehouse management systems (WMS)
Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
Team-oriented with good communication skills
Work EnvironmentWarehouse and yard setting
Exposure to heavy machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to company-specified weight limitsProlonged forklift operation and manual material handling
