Kyntronics is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead our finance organization to support our next phase of growth in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and defense. Position Overview
The Controller is responsible for leading the Company's accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance functions to support Kyntronics' continued growth in industrial and defense markets. Reporting directly to the President, the Controller will provide accurate and timely financial information, strengthen financial processes and be a close business partner with the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management and Reporting
· Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, cost and inventory accounting, and cash management.
· Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and KPIs in accordance with U.S. GAAP to support executive decision-making.
· Monitors financial performance against plan, including providing variance analysis to the management team and participates with implementing corrective actions.
· Develop, maintain and ensure compliance and financial accountability with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
· Manage the payroll process; prepare bi-weekly payroll and records payroll, tax and insurance GL entries.
· Interface with the Kyntronics Board of Directors including reporting and regular meetings.
· Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process.
· Prepare cash flow forecasts and working capital analyses.
· Oversee banking activity, AP and AR processing and bank statements.
· Manage insurances for proper coverage and cost-effectiveness.
· Support ROI analysis on new product development and other projects.
Manufacturing Finance
· Maintain accurate project/product costing and inventory valuation systems, support quoting activity as required.
· Actively works with Purchasing and Operations to reduce SLOB inventory and invest in higher-turnover inventory to support growth and customer service.
· Analyze manufacturing costs, labor utilization, overhead absorption, and product margins to improve profitability.
Internal Controls and Compliance
· Maintain effective internal controls and financial governance.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
· Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and insurance providers.
· Develop indirect cost structures to ensure proper accounting for government-funded contracts.
Leadership and Administration
· Lead and develop the accounting team.
· Collaborate closely with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, financing activities, operational improvements and instill financial accountability.
· Interface with customers, suppliers and other business partners as needed.
· Administer the 401K plan and timely DOL reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
· CPA certification is strongly preferred.
· MBA or CMA a plus.
Experience
· 7 - 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
· Minimum of 3 years in an Assistant Controller or Senior Accounting role.
· Experience within manufacturing or industrial companies required.
· Exposure supporting government contracts and defense-related business is a plus.
Technical Skills
· Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

The Engineering Technician will be a hands-on member of the engineering team, supporting the evaluation, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of returned actuator and motion control products through the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process. This position provides practical experience working with electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems, allowing the individual to develop skills in mechanical assembly, failure analysis, root cause investigation, product testing, technical documentation, and customer service. The Engineering Technician will identify product issues, support corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced engineering environment. Responsibilities will also include commissioning, tuning, and troubleshooting servo drive systems, understanding and modifying PLC logic, and developing or updating HMI applications using Nidec, Rockwell Automation, Unitronic, and Horner control platforms to support product validation, system testing, and repair activities.

The Engineering Technician will be a hands-on member of the engineering team, supporting the evaluation, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of returned actuator and motion control products through the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process. This position provides practical experience working with electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems, allowing the individual to develop skills in mechanical assembly, failure analysis, root cause investigation, product testing, technical documentation, and customer service. The Engineering Technician will identify product issues, support corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced engineering environment. Responsibilities will also include commissioning, tuning, and troubleshooting servo drive systems, understanding and modifying PLC logic, and developing or updating HMI applications using Nidec, Rockwell Automation, Unitronic, and Horner control platforms to support product validation, system testing, and repair activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Learn and become proficient with Kyntronics products
· Perform failure analysis and root-cause investigations on returned actuators
· Disassemble, inspect electro-mechanical actuators and electro-hydraulic actuators
· Support functional testing and validation
· Communicating with customers
· Ability to read electrical, mechanical (3D), and hydraulic prints
· Hands-on experience with PLC, HMI and Servo systems. (Rockwell, Nidec, Unitronic and Horner)
· Support Kyntronics product lines including troubleshooting, both pre and post shipment
· Work with multiple disciplinary engineers to achieve unique solutions for the customer
· Support moving development projects forward
· Provide critical technical information to Engineering for product improvement
· May, on occasion, be required to perform other duties as necessary
· Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time
