Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position will be at the Hudson, NH corporate facility. ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Engineer Position Overview: The ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Engineer ensures that an organization's quality management systems (QMS) meet the rigorous standards of ISO 9001 and AS9100. The individual will work with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and process optimization while supporting internal and external audits, customer requirements, and overall quality objectives. This position will be responsible for all aspects of Quality Engineering within the company including the following:
Maintain Quality Manual/Procedures for AS9100 and ISO9001Perform/Maintain internal audits.Develop test programs and create working procedures for factoryMaintain Calibration of Equipment/ToolingInterface with customers/suppliers and report metricsCoordinate and interface with customers for on-site quality auditsEstablish and monitor vendor performance with Materials functionManage Corrective and Preventive Actions/Perform Root cause analysisReport monthly/quarterly factory-field performanceAnalyze Key Characteristic measurement data to calculate Manufacturing Process Capability ("Cpk") and identify areas for collective and continual manufacturing process improvement toward a goal of Cpk 1.33Perform Risk Management AnalysisPerform RMA Evaluations, including: RC/CA, determining whether it is a Customer Issue, and what materials will be required for repairSafety Point of ContactTrack Days Without Accidents and Near MissesProcess Accident Reports and interface with HR and Corporate SafetyCreate Incoming Inspection Plans
Requirements: Highly organized and self-motivatedHighly effective verbal and written communication skillsTenacious at achieving deadlines for implementation and changes to the company's quality system. Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems preferredPreferred candidate will have a background in Aerospace/ Defense related companies. Creative problem solver, completing tasks on time with minimal resourcesPrior demonstrated hands-on management experience required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, with direct experience in ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance.Strong understanding of quality management principles and standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, etc.).Familiarity with various quality tools and techniques, including root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, etc.Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, compliance, and aerospace standardsExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.Experience identifying root causes and proposing/implementing corrective actionsWorking knowledge of formal Quality Management Systems Experience with technology-based product manufacturingPC literate with MS Office ProductUS Person required for DoD work
