    Javlyn is an independent subsidiary of Krones AG, a global entity with a workforce exceeding 16,000 employees worldwide. We are currently looking for an Automation & Controls Engineer to become part of our expanding team.

    This position necessitates excellent communication abilities, adaptability in a dynamic environment, and a robust understanding of engineering principles.

    Position Overview

    As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will lead full project lifecycle (design through commissioning). Provide technical leadership and mentorship to entry and mid-level engineers. Serve as the primary client contact for automation scope. Contribute to standards developments and process improvements. 10+ years’ experience programming industrial controls in food, dairy, or beverage industries preferred.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    Develop control system architecture diagramsDesign control panels and creating electrical schematics using AutoCADSpecify control system componentsPrepare system documentation Develop PLC I/O assignmentsProgram PLCs using Allen-Bradley Logix platforms (5, 500, 5000)Develop HMI (Human Machine Interface) applications with Rockwell FactoryTalk View, AVEVA Wonderware, GE Intellution iFix, or Ignition softwareSupport clients on new and existing systems (remote and on-site)Design industrial networks and specify data infrastructureDevelop custom applications using VB.NET and SQL databasesParticipate in commissioning and startup activities at client sitesTrain client operations and maintenance personnelTravel 20–25% within the U.S. depending on projects

    Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline preferred

    Experience/Training: 10+ years’ experience programming industrial control systems in food, dairy, or beverage industries preferred.

    Technical Skills:

    PLC and HMI programming (required)AutoCAD (required) Industrial networking conceptsDatabase and application development (VB.NET, SQL) (preferred)Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

    Physical / Working Demands

    The work environment is a professional office environment where a conservative business dress code is in effect. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.     Javlyn Process Systems a member of Krones Process Group North America is seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to develop, design, and implement electrical and automation systems for liquid processing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial control systems, electrical schematics, and process automation specific to fluid handling systems.

    Javlyn Process Systems is a process engineering and control system integration company employing degreed Computer, Electrical, Chemical, and Mechanical engineers. Our focus is on providing automated process system solutions for the food, beverage, dairy, and pharmaceutical industries. We fulfill a niche within these industries by offering custom solutions and professional services to design and operate manufacturing facilities under optimal conditions.     Key Responsibilities:

    Electrical Design & DocumentationDevelop detailed electrical design packages including control panel layouts, wiringdiagrams/schematics and I/O lists.Develop Motor Control Center designs and layouts.Select and specify electrical components (PLC I/O, Safety Equipment, VFDs, Enclosures,etc.) suitable for liquid processing environments.Ensure compliance with industry standards.Process IntegrationCollaborate with process engineers to integrate control systems with pumps, valves and field instrumentation that measure temperatures, flows, pressures, levels, etc.Project Execution & SupportParticipate in cost estimating.Lead electrical checkout efforts at control panel fabrication shops.Assist with electrical system check-out efforts at the client’s facility during commissioning and start-up phases.

    Required Qualifications:

    5 to 15 years of experience in electrical and automation design, preferably in the liquid processing industry (e.g., dairy, food, brewing, chemical, etc).Experience designing control systems with PLC’sProficiency with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and communicate with vendors, contractors, and clients.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.Familiarity with process instrumentation.Understanding of network communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP and I/O Link.

    Work Environment:

    Combination of office-based design work and field/site visits. Travel (20-25%) throughout the U.S. is required. The amount of travel varies based on project assignments, project location, and level of responsibility. Read Less
