This role involves providing legal support and representation related to multifamily property management matters. The successful candidate will handle various litigation cases, work closely with management teams, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position offers flexibility with a combination of remote and on-site work, supporting KPM's commitment to excellence and integrity in all aspects of property management.


    ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee litigation cases pertaining to multifamily property management including evictions, lease enforcement, and other legal disputes.Provide legal advice and guidance to property managers and KPM leadership on risk mitigation and compliance issues.Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to leasing, property operations, and litigation matters.Collaborate with outside counsel when necessary to ensure effective handling of complex legal issues.Stay current with laws and regulations affecting multifamily housing and property management.Assist in developing company policies to minimize legal risks.Maintain accurate legal records and documentation.

    Requirements

    Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably with a focus on real estate, property management, or landlord-tenant law.Strong knowledge of multifamily housing laws, eviction procedures, and relevant regulations.Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases efficiently within a part-time, hybrid work schedule.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.High level of professionalism and ethical standards aligned with KPM’s core values.     This is a full time position and compensation will range based on experience.

    As an Assistant Maintenance, you will be responsible for completing any service requests made by residents of the property. This position reports to the Lead Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    Troubleshoot, repair residential air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems and replace appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, washers, and dryersAbility to efficiently prioritize and run multiple work orders or service requests dailyAbility to examine heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (A/C), as well as perform preventative maintenance duties on HVAC unitsPerform interior plumbing repairs, replacements, and/or installations including repairing leaks and clogs from sinks and/or toiletsElectrical repairs and replacement of light fixtures and related itemsPerform other duties assigned

    ResponsibilitiesAssist the Maintenance Supervisor in the day-to-day operations of property maintenance.Perform routine repairs and maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work.Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety standards are met.Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and address their concerns to ensure tenant satisfaction.Assist with the turnover process of vacant units, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools to ensure safety and efficiency.

    Requirements

    High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in facilities maintenance is a plus.Previous experience in maintenance or a similar role, preferably in multifamily property management.Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC operations.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with residents and team members effectively.Ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team.Flexibility to be on call for emergency repairs as needed.
