    The Opportunity

    This role is designed for a seasoned structural engineer who is ready to step into a visible leadership role, help grow a team, expand a market, and help shape the future of KPFF’s presence in the Indianapolis area. As a Structural Engineering Group Leader, you will have the opportunity to lead with purpose: developing client relationships, building a high-performing team, mentoring the next generation of engineers, and helping your office drive the growth of a local practice with the support and strength of a national firm.

    What You’ll Do

    With the support of your Team Leader and our Reporting Center Manager, you will help grow KPFF’s structural engineering group in the Indianapolis market, expand the office’s local presence, client base, and long-term impact.Assist in building, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of engineers and BIM modelers through technical guidance, career development, delegation, and recruiting support.Strengthen and expand client relationships by identifying new opportunities, securing work, and positioning KPFF for continued growth, both locally and nationallyProvide technical and project leadership across a range of structural systems, materials, project types, and delivery methods, from early planning through construction.Help shape office culture, team processes, and long-term strategy while connecting the Indianapolis office with KPFF’s regional and national resources, expertise, and leadership network.

    Qualifications

    Professional Background

    To be successful in this role, you will bring:

    Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. Structural Engineer (SE) license preferredBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred) OR Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, including leadership of complex projects and direct client interaction.Minimum 3 years of experience leading teams of three or more engineersDesign experience across a wide range of materials, project phases and sectorsA collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and growthExperience with client development, relationship management, and business development is preferred, but not required. Candidates should have an interest in helping grow client partnerships, identify new opportunities, and support the continued expansion of the practice.

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Senior Human Resources Generalist. As a key member of the People Services team, you will serve as a trusted HR partner, advisor, and subject matter expert across a broad range of people programs and initiatives. This role combines hands-on HR execution with business partnership, helping employees and managers navigate HR programs, policies, and workplace challenges while identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen operations, and enhance the employee experience.

    Working closely with leaders across People Services, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Shared Services, this role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, leading initiatives, influencing positive change, and serving as a trusted resource across the organization.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Employee Relations, Compliance & HR Partnership

    Compensation:

    The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills.     Physical Demands and Work Environment

    Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.Duties require the ability to actively engage with a computer for several hours per day.May occasionally need to lift items up to 15 lbs.Duties require in-person attendance, Monday through Friday, during our business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM at our office in Downtown Los Angeles for the training period. Following a satisfactory training period a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week in the office may be accommodated.
