    Job Description

    In this role, you will provide reliable technical assistance to internal and external customers. You will provide professional coverage of Technical Support Helpdesk with a specific focus on PLC-controlled machines and subsystems and control systems based on C/C++ programming languages. You will support focus on accuracy, timely feedback, and customer satisfaction. You will drive timely identification, investigation, resolution, root cause analysis and replication of technical issues. You will build internal relationships to expedite complicated cases. You will develop broad understanding of customer needs. You will support the knowledge-sharing mindset, methodology, and tools. You will help develop Technical Support processes. You will ensure proper documenting and recording of all activity and communication. You will address systemic coordination issues. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Mason, Ohio location on a Hybrid work schedule with 3 days in office, Wed-Sat 8am-6:30pm shift.

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Be part of a team that is solving complex technical problems for external customers
    • Troubleshoot issues related to proprietary software running sortation systems in distribution/fulfillment centers
    • Document Technical issues, resolutions and best practices for knowledge sharing
    • Debug software defects and analyze software source code
    • Test and implement software changes
    • Create root cause analysis documents
    • Ensure accuracy, timely feedback, and high levels of customer satisfaction

    Qualifications

    YOU MUST HAVE
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
    • 0-2 years of experience in electrical engineering.
    • Adaptable & Productive in a team environment
    • Proficient in customer communication
    • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in electrical design software and tools such as AutoCAD or MATLAB.
    • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards.

    WE VALUE
    • At least one year of experience with PLC programming and/or programming with C/C++ programming languages
    • At least one year of experience troubleshooting electrical issues
    • At least one year of experience reading, reviewing, and interpreting electrical schematics

    As an Advanced Chemical Engineer at Honeywell LNG, you will play a crucial role in the Honeywell LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Process Engineering team. This position will be reporting to our Senior Chemical Engineering Manager based in Allentown, Pennsylvania on a hybrid schedule.

    In this role, you will impact the company's growth and competitiveness by driving technical excellence, project leadership, process optimization, collaboration, safety, and innovation in LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Process Technology, ultimately enhancing the quality of Honeywell LNG's offerings.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Apply engineering expertise to design and implement world-class natural gas liquefaction processes and equipment. Perform advanced process cycle simulations for natural gas liquefaction and related systems. Complete detailed thermal design of proprietary heat transfer equipment (coil wound heat exchanger) manufactured by Honeywell LNG. Conduct relief and depressuring scenario analyses for proprietary equipment using established tools and methodologies. Support plant operations through startup, performance testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including commercial, project management, mechanical design, manufacturing, machinery, R&D, and start-up-to ensure seamless project execution, and drive product development and improvement. Participate in P&ID reviews and HAZOPs at contractor offices to ensure safety, operability and design integrity. Oversee the portfolio of Process and Equipment Modeling Tools. Work on developing or improving these tools as guided by the process technology manager. 50% of day-to-day will consist of providing 1st level programming/debugging support for tools portfolio. Domestic and international travel to clients' offices, contractors, and plant sites expected about 10-15 percent of the time.

    The Mechanical Systems Engineer II will be based in our Honeywell LNG Headquarters located in Allentown, PA on a hybrid basis. You will contribute to the LNG Manufacturing and Design Engineering (MDE) - Piping and Structural Design & Engineering (PSDE) team and other disciplines within the LNG organization.
    For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

    The successful candidate will be one of the key members of the MDE team with responsibility for the selection, specification, and technical requisition of mechanical components within Honeywell LNG's proprietary liquefaction systems. The candidate will be responsible for the specification and design of plant-size systems utilizing components including piping, fittings, valves, insulation, coatings, and specialty in-line items. Additionally, they will interpret regulatory and customer specifications, manage supply chain technical aspects, system pressure testing, and any design breaks.

    The incumbent will ensure that all mechanical systems comply with engineering standards, industry standards, safety regulations, project specifications, and company policies. The position requires occasional domestic and international travel.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Function as the Mechanical Systems Engineering Subject Matter Expert within the Honeywell LNG Organization. Interface with cross-functional disciplines such as Piping Design, Piping Stress Engineering, Process Controls, Machinery Engineering, Procurement, Process Safety, and Process Systems Engineering during Basic Engineering and Design or on projects from conceptual phase through project execution. Develop and/or select specifications for piping, manual valves, control valves, insulation, coatings, and fittings for various fluid services, temperatures, and pressures related to LNG applications, creating new project or application-specific specifications, as necessary. Maintain the library of Honeywell LNG mechanical component specifications, standards, selection processes, and review procedures, ensuring alignment with other Honeywell businesses, industry standards (ASME, API, EN), and regulatory requirements. Review Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) at every stage of a bid or project to ensure safe operation, start-up, shut-down, maintenance, and overall integrity based on material type, temperature, pressure, and service. Create pressure test diagrams according to ASME B31.3 Code for Process Piping or similar industry codes. Review changes in P&ID process scope and design, updating specified Mechanical System components accordingly. Calculate required piping thickness based on internal and external pressures. Collaborate with Process Engineering and Startup Team for the selection of control valves for LNG applications. Review customer/EPC specifications, industrial standards, and regulatory requirements to align the scope of supply during project bid phase. Participate in safety assessments and ensure adherence to environmental regulations throughout the design phase. Occasionally participate in plant visits and international field repair trips.

    Qualifications

    YOU MUST HAVE
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Petrochemical or LNG industry with a focus on mechanical systems engineering or similar role.Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 Process Piping code and/ or other international standards.
