    Position Overview


    We are seeking a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our customer-facing engineering team. The FAE will work closely with

    sales, product management, and R&D teams to provide technical expertise, ensure successful customer evaluations, and support

    deployments of our broadband access equipment. This role requires a strong technical background in access technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with customers in both pre-sales and post-sales engagements.


    Key Responsibilities

    Provide pre-sales technical support to service providers, including product presentations, solution design, and technical proposals.Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) trials, lab evaluations, and field demonstrations of broadband access equipment.Assist customers with network design, integration, and interoperability testing with OSS/BSS, management platforms, and third-party systems.Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams (R&D, product management, and support).Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to customers, partners, and internal teams.Provide post-sales support during deployment, including troubleshooting, configuration, and performance optimization.Capture customer feedback and contribute to product roadmap discussions.


    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of experience as an FAE, sales engineer, systems engineer, or network engineer in broadband access, telecom, or networking industry.Strong understanding of PON (XGS-PON, GPON), Wi-Fi, VoIP, Ethernet switching, and IP networking.Familiarity with OLTs, ONTs, Wi-Fi CPEs, and broadband network design.Experience with network management protocols (SNMP, NETCONF/YANG, TR-069, TR-369) and OSS/BSS integration.Hands-on experience with lab testing, interoperability trials, and customer demos.Strong troubleshooting skills with packet captures, lab tools, and diagnostic platforms.Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Willingness to travel (50%) to customer sites, labs, and industry events.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a mid-level role as Systems Administrator to join our Kontron Family! Under direction of the Director of Information Technology, the System Administrator will setup, configure, maintain, and document all hardware and software related to the Servers, virtual environment, network and applications.

    Setup and manage Windows servers, Hyper-V and VMWare.

    Manage at expert level Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, global Policies.Knowledge of Hyper-V virtual environmentSetup Office 365 tools and applications.Configure and maintain Fortinet Firewall including VPNs, routing and Network accessProficiently manage network IP addressing, VLANs, network protocols.Troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.Familiar with SAML, SSO and MFA tools.Efficient with Helpdesk tickets and dealing with users

    Qualifications

    Associate degree in technical field is required BS or BA, preferred.Must have a minimum 3 years experience windows 2016 & Windows 2019 server, Exchange 2016 server, Cisco or Fortinet firewalls. Well versed with Windows client operating systems deployments in network environments.Very good understanding of TCP/IP protocol and networking topologies.Rational thinker to resolve technical problems relating to the network and associated systems in timely manner. Willing to work on site at least 4 days a week.
