    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Material Handlers work within the KHA factory to load/unload materials and deliver to appropriate manufacturing area(s). Perform quality and receiving checks.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Unload/load materials and deliver to appropriate manufacturing area.

    • Receive and check incoming materials, supplies, and returned goods.

    • Check received goods to purchase orders of receiving slips as to identification, type, quantity, part number, size, weight, and general quality.

    • Process received items in computer system and appropriate paperwork.

    • Visually inspect goods received for damage from handling in transit and process damages report. Contact appropriate personnel (internal or external) to verify, if necessary.

    • Prepare reports to apprise manufacturing of good received.

    • Maintain receiving/shipping dock to keep clear of materials. Ensure external access doors are always secured.

    • Gather and prepare rejected material for return to vendor.

    • Apply touch-up paint using brush to units; label and pack all units.

    • Construct skids and boxes to meet special packing requirements.

    • Pack product in standard containers or crates for domestic or export shipments in accordance with prescribed procedures.

    • Complete order within computer system and prepare appropriate paperwork.

    • Perform final quality inspection of all units to ensure proper quantities, labeling, and that the customer receives manuals and loose items.

    • Stage and Load product onto truck for delivery to customer.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

    • Knowledge of export procedures desirable.

    • Must have advanced lift truck skills.

    • Proficient PC skills.

    • Must be able to address multiple tasks at the same time.

    • Must have good verbal and written communication skills 

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • High school graduate or equivalent.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to lift 60-80 lbs.

    • Must be able to read/write English

    Receives work assignment and instructions if needed; gathers all specifications, drawings and diagrams.  Determines size of wires, cables, conduit and troughs for all types cranes required; works from schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and own judgment based on knowledge and experience to determine details not indicated.  Performs various types of wiring tasks as required.

      Gathers all necessary component dimensions, which are not already recorded.  Layout plans and necessary layout details to facilitate future work.  Obtains necessary tools, materials, and equipment, as needed; handles material manually or with the aid of overhead cranes.  Lays out positions for all components and related equipment on cranes by marking exact center lines and any necessary outlines.  Lays out, drills, reams, and taps or punches holes to obtain means for fastening units or routing wire as required. Positions and mounts electrical equipment, fixtures, cabinet, etc. on cranes as required.  Assists in the interpretation of the layout when required; makes layout corrections or adjustments when necessary. Measures and cuts wires and cables to required lengths and make various type connections as required. Mounts and connects festoon or messenger cable systems.  Tests cranes.  Connects lead to control devices and terminal boards as indicated by diagram.  Cuts wires to length, skins wires, loops ends, presses on lugs, splices wires and performs other ordinary wiring tasks on panels.  Mark wires and electrical devices as required; tests operation of all electrical devices on crane and hoist control panels and adjusts as required.  Performs operations on single or variable speed, single or multiple motored control panels for hoists and cranes.  Works toward obtaining a neat appearing and compact panel.  Marks or tags all components and wiring to be disassembled in the stripping operation.  Coordinates list of final miscellaneous material to be gathered for shipment.  Performs final inspection of all electrical component mounting, wiring and other assembly or wiring work on every crane before shipment.  Moves parts with aid of hand truck, mechanical truck and overhead cranes within department.  Maintains floor supplies with supervisor.  Maintains clean and orderly work area including equipment and performs all assignments in a safe manner and in accordance with established procedures. 

     

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION: Minimum high school/GED with technical school background preferred 

    EXPERIENCE: 3-5 yrs electrical/mechanical experience 

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical prints. 
    Strong problem solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently but be effective in a team oriented environment. Maintain company's high standards to safety, quality standards, goals & performance objectives. A positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Assemblers work in a manufacturing environment to put together various production parts using diagrams, samples, drawings, and written instructions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assemble electrical/mechanical components, sub-assemblies and complete assemblies of standard design having frequent variation in detail, number of parts and/or wiring patterns.Position and fasten parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.Mount components on bodies or panels; prepare, install, and connect wiring harness to terminals.Utilize assembly drawings, diagrams, specifications, samples, and prototypes in the assembly process.Perform advanced troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical assemblies that are not properly functioning.Perform product testing utilizing high voltages.Operate various hand tools to assist in the assembly operation.Work in different work areas as production needs require.Working with the team lead, supervisor, and material handlers, ensure NCM and scrap materials are properly identified and removed from the production floor Perform other duties as assigned.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

    Ability to follow written directions and diagrams to assemble parts per specifications.Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools.Attention to detail and quality control.

    Principal Responsibilities: 

    Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer locations.Provide on-call service as part of a rotation, including after-hours support.Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues on-site.Perform post-repair audits to ensure safety features are functional.Document findings and recommend corrective actions, including safety notifications to customers.Consult with customers on repair and safety issues, offering recommendations for material handling improvement.Produce electronic documentation using company tools, obtaining customer signatures.Stay updated on industry codes and regulations (OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI).Complete service reports and other required documents accurately and promptly.Communicate with the Field Operations Manager and Service Coordinator following established practicesMaintain company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets in proper working order.Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles, reporting deficiencies to the supervisor.Follow established safety rules and procedures, including customer guidelines.Participate in monthly safety meetings.Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications

    Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair. Some electronic experience but not necessary. Prior experience with cranes is a benefit, but not required. 

    Other Requirements: Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license. Must be willing to work off the ground. Can work varied overtime, as needed by customer, be available for "on call" as part of the service office rotation and be able to travel and work out of town, on occasion. 

    Must be able to frequently lift to 25 lbs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis. Must be able to lift to 75 lbs. although not on a daily basis. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. on a rare basis. This position requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, and overhead reaching. This position requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling. This position will be inside approximately 90% of the time and outside approximately 10% of the time. This position will be frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise and heights.

    Education: High School Diploma required. Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field preferred or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience. 

    Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair. Some electronic experience but not necessary. Prior experience with cranes is a benefit, but not required. 

    Other Requirements: Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license. Must be willing to work off the ground. Can work varied overtime, as needed by customer, be available for "on call" as part of the service office rotation and be able to travel and work out of town, on occasion. 

    Must be able to frequently lift to 25 lbs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis. Must be able to lift to 75 lbs. although not on a daily basis. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. on a rare basis. This position requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, and overhead reaching. This position requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling. This position will be inside approximately 90% of the time and outside approximately 10% of the time. This position will be frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise and heights.

     JOB POSITION SUMMARY                                     

    The electrical Install engineer will work with overhead cranes/hoists in the Konecranes Nuclear Equipment and Services (KNES) business, completing electrical installation, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) coupled with final commissioning. This install engineer will be able to read/design electrical install schematics, use AutoCAD Electrical, perform electrical install calculations, have knowledge to perform field install startups & testing, work in industrial environments, have detailed knowledge of electric motor controls, utility circuits, safety circuits, and operator controls, as related to installing overhead cranes and hoists. This install engineer will be able to troubleshoot and resolve problems including, but not limited to circuit breakers, transformers, motor starters, contactors, relays, A.C./D.C. inverters, braking resistors, etc. Install startups and field service activities can be both domestic and internationally and may last for 1-2 months at a time

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Function as an electrical install engineer at site/office and provide technical supervision to other electrical and mechanical engineers, technicians, craft, and other workers on a daily basis for the site/office. Work in implementing the Installation Supervisor’s electrical objectives and processes needed at the customer’s site. Work with the project manager to establish on-site install work requirements, determine what is needed at the site to keep customer acceptance moving forward, meet schedules, and daily review install tasks of work activities.Writing detailed step-by-step install procedures based on crane install activities.Design and build all required cabinets/temporary power panels required to successfully perform the installation. These would be worked out based on the tools required to perform the installations.Be the engineering install engineer at the site to get the install equipment ready for testing and then accomplish the testing in the most effective path forward as possible. This would include supporting the electrical engineer with the Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) procedure, step by step, with the customer to prove the install equipment works as intended.As the electrical install engineer, you will be doing all the necessary checklists and various tests (e.g. Point to Point, Ground Resistance Megger checks, etc.) are performed, the results of these are listed as pre-requisites for the SAT test. The SAT test also contains necessary hold points (as decided by the customer) for various quality checks and approvals prior to continuation (e.g. successful inspections after the load tests, successful testing and operation of the Protection System and Safety Functions).  At the conclusion of the SAT test, backup install operations are repeated to ensure the latest software snapshots and parameters are saved to the system Laptop.Excellent customer relations attitude: the install electrical engineer needs to be a solution-oriented person that will work to satisfy the customer and complete the install/testing/start up as expeditiously as possible. The willingness and drive to self-teach/learn new material and understand install design concepts.Provide input to install/design improvements by providing information to the Installation Engineering Supervisor and Chief Engineer that shows improved functions and/or cost reduction.Non-engineering responsibilities includes working with project managers to meet project install deadlines, and work with purchasing to specify parts.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

    Knowledgeable with using and applying the NEC electrical code and UL508A regarding panel layout designing regarding components/wiring sizing/routings and applying ambient temperature controls for sizing custom enclosures in regard to best practices for doing on-site electrical installation.Ability to lead and work with others to maximize their productivity. Extremely important is the ability to be customer focused and work with even the most challenging individuals in meeting install delivery deadlines for the customer.

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    Must have a 4-year Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE, BSEET) or equivalent.5 to 10 years of electrical install engineering experience in doing field install startups, wiring, PLC and HMI programming, and experience in setting up variable frequency drives.Rockwell PLC/HMI, Siemens PLC/HMI, Magnetek VFDs, Siemens VFDs programming preferred.

     

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

                 

    Be able to travel domestically and internationally to nuclear and government facilities.Be able to stay in the field for durations of 1-2 months at a time with 20% – 40% in the field.Have the ability to climb up 50+ feet of vertical ladders.
