    Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionAs a Maintenance Planner for Knowles’ Cornell Dubilier, you will convert maintenance demand into safe, well‑sequenced plans and schedules that maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and enable quality‑critical production for MedTech, Aerospace/Defense, Industrial, and Electrification customers.
    Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the CMMS/EAM planning and weekly scheduling process for preventive, predictive, and corrective work in coordination with Production and EHS.Develop clear job plans (scope, labor, duration, skills, permits, LOTO steps, QA checks) and ensure accurate close out documentation.Create and maintain asset master data, PM task lists, BOMs, and equipment hierarchies; keep routes and frequencies optimized.Kit and stage materials, parts, tools, and permits; coordinate with Stores to maintain MRO spares availability and min/max levels.Prioritize the maintenance backlog using risk, asset criticality, and production impact; manage ready to schedule status.Plan plant shutdowns and maintenance windows, including critical path activities, contingencies, and contractor sequencing.Coordinate OEMs and service contractors (scope, quotes, site access, safety orientation, and quality of work).Monitor and report KPIs (schedule compliance, PM completion, wrench time, MTTR/MTBF, backlog health) and drive corrective actions.Support reliability initiatives (RCM/TPM), PM optimization, and RCA; capture lessons learned into standard work.Ensure compliance with EHS and quality requirements (LOTO, hot work, ESD handling, calibration/verification, documentation).

    Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseProficiency with CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Fiix) and Excel; able to build reports and dashboards.Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing assets and utilities (e.g., winding/pressing/coating equipment, ovens, vacuum systems, HVAC, compressed air, chillers, boilers).Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings, P&IDs, and OEM manuals; convert technical information into executable job plans.Working knowledge of predictive technologies (vibration, infrared thermography, ultrasound) and lubrication best practices.Experience applying reliability and lean tools: RCM, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, standard work.Root cause analysis capability (5 Why, fishbone/Ishikawa) and disciplined problem solving.Familiarity with industry quality frameworks common to our markets (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485) and good documentation practices.Safety first mindset with practical knowledge of LOTO, confined space, electrical safety/arc flash, and permit systems.Effective stakeholder communication and negotiation to balance production priorities with maintenance risk.MRO planning and vendor management skills, including BOM accuracy, lead time mitigation, and cost/availability tradeoffs.
